It's not so much a "mis" evaluation as a lack of evaluation. Not playing last year killed any hope of him being a 5* recruit. One of the biggest evaluation tools is Junior-year film/stats. He does not have that. I think he will be a top-tier 4* by the last evaluation. If he would have played last year and put up similar stats or just under what he has done this year, no doubt that he would be knocking down the 5* level I think.

This kid was hidden under a rock in the middle of Nowhere, MS. Most teams didn’t even know he existed until he committed. But Gaulden plays on one of the high-profile teams in the state. Completely different circumstances, but they would have to purposefully ignore production and potential. I expect a major bump, pretty much universally.

He had 35 tackles against Beech. While Jalen didn't play, that is still dang impressive cause their other running back isn't half bad

Forget stats, there are not 20 DBs better than him in this class.

Hahaha. I'm gonna stuck with you did that on purpose. Dude, we have a great recruiting class coming in. I'm dumbfounded with how well this staff recruits. I've been waiting for this. We can compete with anyone if this keeps up.

It's funny that their biggest question mark, recruiting, is easily what they have some best this year. You can argue that under the circumstances they are in, the are the best recruiters in the country for this year. The talent they're bringing in is sick. Playmakers everywhere. No doubt if it continues like this, we win the SEC in '16.

We have some awesome guys coming in, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if Gaulden ended up being the best of all of them. And I'm not down on Hurd at all.

His lineman must be terrible. But really, that's amazing when you sit down and think about it. My guess is he's making the tackle for like 50% of the offence's plays.

I think he had to miss all of his junior season or he played on JV (can't remember which one) due to transferring.

I'm sure that set him back as far as exposure goes.

If anything, he'll get a bump to the 6.0 4* level. Doubt he gets the 5th star. I agree with you that he should, I just don't think it'll happen.

He'll get a bump, but not that large. He should though.
