I'm telling you guys, Fortenberry has said they'll take 6-7 good DL if they can. Probably take 3-4 more DB's too. I think Montrell's right, come early February there might be 35 on the commit list.
Gaulden is way underated. His explosiveness is off the charts. At least Rivals is somewhat in the ballpark having him in their Top 250 but he should be higher IMO.
I dont know what in the world 247 is looking at having him a 3 star.
No.
They feel some long time commits will be dropped for better talent closer to NSD.
If it's grades/qualifying or character(getting into trouble) issues, or taking other visits, I would be fine with cutting them loose. Otherwise, a current Vol commitment who has shut down his recruitment should be a VOL on NSD.
Who would that be? I see no one that we would want to drop honestly.
I don't either.
Those saying we may take 32-35 must have some idea of who they think will be kicked to the curb by NSD. I am 100% against ANY kid who has committed and shut things down to be dropped for another recruit closer to NSD. If he qualifies, stays out of trouble, and is all VOL, he should have a LOI to sign for Tennessee on NSD.
He said they would not turn down good DL and would take up to 6-7. Not sure how else to take that other than literally.
It's very doubtful they sign 7 DL this class but if 7 elite DL wanted to be Vols you think they would say no to any of them?
What? Haha
What about when another school makes a push and the kid flips? Butch won't let that happen to us like it has recently..I don't either.
