dont doubt it. smith def would not be on the field for a while at UT unless on special teams. Ole Miss has been grabbing DL for a couple years too so im not sure what Sawyers is thinking

Wow, last year could you imagine this would be happening this year? 4* Kids looking at our depth chart and being scared of not seeing the field. I guess that's when you know you're back. Go Vols!

don't think this is a bad choice for eaither one of them but......there is so much speculation and opinion on these boards regarding how good some of these kids are or are going to be, I think it goes a long way in validating the quality of kids Butch is reeling in when (arguably) 4 star athletes are shying away from us because of the "depth charts/incoming class". :rock:

whats even mkre amazing is that we can legit say no a an instate 4 star at this point in the cycle because were already full with even better talent. been years since that happened.

If the kids are scared of what they see coming to Tennessee, we don't want players who are afraid of competition. That is what I like about the players/students we have committed for 2015. They seem to thrive on competition and look forward to it.

This. If they Are scared of what's coming in to UT then I'm so glad they will be on the field against us.

Choosing to not cut into the 2015 class IMO is a smart move. I think that class will prove to be really good even though it will be closer to 20.

I'm not sure Smith could be a LB. If he did, it would be 2-3 years down the road. Kid is a tweener and would not play early on at UT even if he was a take. I think that is the main reason he is looking at other options.

Good for him. They got about 2 pretty good ones in that class lol. Right now they are battling Appy State and Minnesota for some last minute guys. #MonsterClass
