My thoughts:

EAST
1. UF- he'll be good but not as good as UF fans need him to be;
2. UGA- their defense will take a step back but will still be in the Top 2 or 3 in the conference;
3. UK- he has the measurables;
4. Missouri- who cares;
5. South Carolina- Rattler will have his best year in college and get drafted in the first 3 rounds;
6. UT- we will win at least 8 games;
7. Vandy- no

WEST

1. Bama- no, it's too hard;
2. Ark- Hogs win 7 or 8;
3. Aub- no;
4. LSU- yes, Kelly will be fine, if you can coach you can coach and he can coach;
5. Miss St.- no;
6. Ole Miss- wins 7;
7. A&M- no.

5. South Carolina - Sucks.
6. Tennessee - Awesome and badass and the most talented and the greatest at everything.
7. Vandy - Sucks.

SEC West

East:

1. More than likely
2. Yes. Their recruiting is on Bama level.
3. Physical size that’s it
4. I think Horn ends up being the starter
5. I think very good Rattler. I get the feeling he is gonna surprise people.
6. I think so. It’s year two.
7. Yes

West:

1. Possible but unlikely
2. Yes. Pittman seems to be a good coach.
3. No
4. Kelly will be fine. He is a very good coach.
5. Maybe
6. Don’t think they will fall that far. Kiffin is still there. They have killed it in the portal.
7. No

SEC East

1. Florida - will Anthony Richardson develop into a good QB? Definitely for 1 game, bank it. As for overall, not to the level needed.
2. Georgia - can Georgia reload on defense to contend for another national title? They'll lose a step, but when everyone else is #10 are you're dropping from #1 to #3-5, it'll only show in the CFP.
3. Kentucky - why is Will Levis so highly regarded? Over hyped on measurables - not necessarily in individual results. He'll likely slip since it seems they're strength might be the OL and running game.
4. Missouri - Who will start at QB for the Tigers? Will worry about on game-day.
5. South Carolina - will USCw get good Spencer Rattler from year one at Oklahoma or bad Spencer Rattler from year two? Going to be a tough year - he has a lot more learning to do. If you can get to him, he gets pretty flustered - mistake prone. If he gets back into his head, like a GJ, he'll slip further behind. If that happens it'll be interesting if Beamer does a cornbread - and keep him in past his shelf life.
6. Tennessee - can the Vols defense improve enough to take the next step and get to 8 or 9 wins? That's really the question. TN needs a defense that can complement its offense. If they can improve over last year - 8 wins are well within range.
7. Vandy - will Vandy win an SEC game? Nope. This is who everyone gets healthy against.

SEC West

1. Alabama - can Bryce Young repeat as the Heisman winner? Politics says no, and OSU is supposed to have a very highly rated WR core.....and not playing the SEC.
2. Arkansas - can the Hogs maintain their momentum from last year? Yes, but it may not be reflected in wins and losses.
3. Auburn - will Bryan Harsin win enough to satisfy the fan base and keep his job? If he doesn't step it up this year, look for him on the hot-seat write-ups.
4. LSU - how will Brian Kelly adapt to the SEC? I think he'll lose some he shouldn't vs winning those he shouldn't. In the long run - no. Like Butch, he hasn't shown me he can adapt yet.
5. Miss State - they can score points, but can they stop anyone on defense? Not with that HC. He hasn't put stock in defense yet, why start now. Heupel needs to solve his defensive question too, eventually. They've mastered the art of offense - but just one side of the football doesn't get you the hardware you want.
6. Ole Miss - Lost both coordinators, their star QB and used the transfer portal heavily, how far do they fall? With Kiffy - there's always a fall. It's his nature.
7. Texas A&M - can they challenge Alabama in the West? Not this year and not with Jimbo.

1 - yes
2 - no, but they think they can
3 - no freaking clue
4 - I will start for Mizzou and have better success than their scholarship QB will
5 - mediocre Rattler, some good games some bad ones
6 - not this year, but likely next. Too much development needed w/too much young good talent
7 - no, but I’d they do, I pity the team they beat

WEST
1- no
2 - no
3 - maybe, AU coaches always seem to scrape by somehow
4 - yes he will, but this year will be mediocre, 7-9 wins. Next year should be challenging for west vs A&M and Bama
5 - not well enough to count for anything that Gets them to a big bowl game; similar to us (TN) but we are much, much cooler 😎

14 questions, one for each SEC team. What are your thoughts?

SEC East

1. Florida - will Anthony Richardson develop into a good QB?-Yes, he has all the tools, just needs to stay healthy
2. Georgia - can Georgia reload on defense to contend for another national title? Yes, they reload every year and will be in it till the end again
3. Kentucky - why is Will Levis so highly regarded? Not a bad QB, will KY Oline be as good this season
4. Missouri - Who will start at QB for the Tigers? Who cares, just hang another 60 on them and tell Drinkwitz to sit down while the adults talk
5. South Carolina - will USCw get good Spencer Rattler from year one at Oklahoma or bad Spencer Rattler from year two? Dont sleep on SC, Rattler was a good get
6. Tennessee - can the Vols defense improve enough to take the next step and get to 8 or 9 wins? Biggest question mark, do Vols Defense have enough depth to snag another 2 wins, first 4 games will tell the tale
7. Vandy - will Vandy win an SEC game? "We're aiming to build the best football program in the country at Vanderbilt University!" I feel like this team is ready to go 100% defeated again...just a feeling

SEC West

1. Alabama - can Bryce Young repeat as the Heisman winner? Yep, and they will be out for blood when they play Georgia again
2. Arkansas - can the Hogs maintain their momentum from last year? Not sure, SEC West will be better this season
3. Auburn - will Bryan Harsin win enough to satisfy the fan base and keep his job? Auburn fanbase is as volatile as UTs at times.....sans the burning mattresses
4. LSU - how will Brian Kelly adapt to the SEC? Dont care what people say, he is a good coach, great...not yet, beat Bama, we can talk
5. Miss State - they can score points but can they stop anyone on defense? Leach understands offense, pirates and the Loch Ness Monster, his understanding of defense is truly elementary
6. Ole Miss - Lost both coordinators, their star QB and used the transfer portal heavily, how far do they fall? Lane "Golf Ball, Coed Wrecker, original recruit bagman" Kiffin will have his team win 7, maybe 8 games this season
7. Texas A&M - can they challenge Alabama in the West?
Fisher has the opportunity and talent to compete, but will fall short

6. Tennessee - can the Vols defense improve enough to take the next step and get to 8 or 9 wins? That's really the question. TN needs a defense that can complement its offense. If they can improve over last year - 8 wins are well within range.

Upvote for being in the small minority of football fans who use complement instead of compliment in this context.

2. Georgia - can Georgia reload on defense to contend for another national title? They'll lose a step, but when everyone else is #10 are you're dropping from #1 to #3-5, it'll only show in the CFP.

As for Georgia, my best guess is that they'll lose at least one regular season game and won't make it back to the playoffs. Sizeable dropoff in experience on the DL and, most importantly, huge dropoff in experience and depth at ILB. Pass defense could be better and still give up more yards as pass rush regresses from 2021. Offense will be good, but don't think they'll improve over last year; not enough to offset the defensive setback.

What do you mean can Vandy win a conference game? Didn’t you hear their coach? It supposedly won’t be anytime before they are the best team in the country! The rest of the conference should be shaking in their boots.

1. Depends on Stroud. 3. Needs 9 wins or out. 7. 2 yrs away. East. 1. Average. 2. Can defense carry Bennett. 3. Slight improvement, 6-9 wins, closer to 6. 7. Who cares.

Other than the money don’t know why Lea took the job. A better offer would have come along. If he stayed at ND, probably be head coach. Within 3 years back a DC & maybe not in a super conference.

Only one I really care about #6.

We’re in a better spot than we’ve been since pre season 2016 IMO. The expectation that year by most was 10 wins if I recall correctly. We’re not as deep or talented as that year, but I think we have better coaching. Beat Pitt AND Florida early in the season, I think we have a good shot at 10 total wins (including a bowl win) 9 reg season.

Split with PITT AND FLORIDA, 8-9 still favorable.

Drop both, be sniffing a bowl game again.

East
1. FL - Throws too many interceptions when rattled/hurried.
2. GA - Not as good as last year, but unfortunately will be good enough.
3. KY - No idea. Looked pretty average last year.
4. MZ - No idea who they got and really don't care.
5. SC - Guy's a head case, so bad Rattler.
6. TN - Will have more depth, so yes.
7. Vandy - Maybe Missouri.

West
1. AL - No, SEC and NC game proved he is only as good as his receivers.
2. Ark - Barely.
3. Aub - No, he's a dead man walking.
4. LSU - Well, he's already picked up the accent. Won't bring LSU to the promised land though.
5. MSU - Defense will keep them in lower half of division.
6. Ole Miss - Middle of the pack. Look forward to Kiffin being fired in a couple of years.
7. Texas A&M - Will probably finish 2nd in division, but never really challenge Bama.

I highly doubt Kiffin ends up getting fired from Ole Miss. Will likely take a new job first.
