He tweeted our coaches were coming to his school tomorrow. It may lead to nothing, but I figured we might as well make a thread just in case something comes from the visit.

I believe he has offers from Wyoming and Vanderbilt, and he is listed as an ECU commit.

He tore his ACL his Junior year apparently, and he was a little under the radar because of that.

ECU Rivals on 1/20...

"I am athletic and I have a good knowledge of the game. My dad played quarterback for the Denver Broncos from 1982 through 1983. So I have spent a long time learning the position from him," he said.

The 6-foot, 3-inch, 190-pound athlete has recently been focusing on gaining weight. "After the ACL injury I had Mononucleosis and lost a lot of weight. I've been working out every day and eating a lot to gain the weight back," he said.

We asked him what does he look for when visiting a school. "I evaluate the coaches to see if they can get talent out of me and teach me things. I also consider the school's academics program and I check out the atmosphere of the school," he said. "I plan to major in Team Management. I want to be a coach."

"I was heavily recruited by schools for basketball during my sophomore year. After I tore my ACL I wasn't able to play basketball and I focused on football," he said. He noted that some schools including Gardner Webb had offered him for basketball.

Also from that ECU Rivals article...

His father and a mentor, Steve Wilson, who played for the Denver Broncos, coached at Howard University and was named Coach of the Year, are guiding him through the recruitment process.

Stankavage. His dad played at unc. The kid is very mobile and had a great senior year for cardinal gibbons in raleigh. He has a lot of upside and potential. I would take.

His highlights looked really good. Obviously made a nice recovery from the ACL because he is very quick in the first 20 yards of running and throws from the balls of his feet. Really nice arm and short delivery. Seems to have good touch on the long passes. They may want to find a way with this one.
