If you haven't watched his film, you need to. He's a 30 sec offer. Watch about 30 sec of his tape and offer him.

Doesn't matter. He's all Black Bear. MS is on lockdown with the success of the in-state schools right now.

Hope the coaches are not focused on a kid like this and not on other safteys who would actually choose to play at UT.

Personally, I hope the coaches have the stones to get right up in the face of every coach in the nation and say, "I'm taking your recruits AND your dam lunch money." Drop the backhand on that cheek and walk off... like a boss.

Meridian is closer to Tuscaloosa and Starkville then it is Oxford. Most kids in the area are State or Tide fans. Must of had a noncommitable offer to Bama or something. In this part of the state Ole Miss is viewed as the stuck up old money types.

CBJ with assault and robbery charges would not so much look like a boss. :)

If hes been on campus the last few days, there is a serious chance here. This ain't Free Shoes St or Ole Moneybag i.e. Ole Piss.

How can you be impressed with Jones and Co. thus far but have a doubt in their recruiting awareness and make a comment like that?

Simple.

Consider a similar situation where our own Jalen Hurd attended an osu camp recently. Would it have made a lot of sense for the osu coaches to be all hugged up to Jalen and trying to work him to flip when they knew pretty quickly there was no chance? How do you think the other RBs who attended the camp and were actually considering osu would have taken seeing that? Sometimes, it's better to know when to hold em and when to fold em.

I'm sure the osu coaches tried to see where Jalen was with his commitment and I'm sure our coaches did with Hampton. We are looking for a few more DBs in this class. I would focus on those I have a chance with vs those who are clearly headed elsewhere.

I get what you are saying... but with that mindset UT should shut down all recruiting except for the 15-20 highest guys on the board that have legitimate interest.

Legit question: Should we stop recruiting A. Jackson due to the current situation we are in with Green, Smith, Gaulden, and Battle?

Very different situation as A. Jackson has not even visited yet and we are a long shot at best to land him. If the coaches want to do the whole "you are our #1 guy" thing, just make sure no other DBs are visiting at the same time. I do think it could hurt recruiting. JMO
