so if we were to pick up this kid, do you think he would split carries with Hurd and Paulk would redshirt?

Play them all. Keep the RB's fresh and wear down defenses, IMO.

we would still have lee, hill, summerhill, smith, and possibly lane.

not saying they are better than Paulk, but Hill and Lane have enough skill to split carries

Does anybody know a RB that's had a lot of success out of JuCo in the SEC? I'm not trying to be negative, but I honestly can't think of one. I know in 2011/2012 there were multiple DTs that were 1-2 round picks in NFL draft out of Juco.

Rudy Johnson, Auburn...went on to have a productive NFL career

I don't get the negatives of JUCOs...for the most part they are kids that transfer, have some grade issues that need attention or some other technicality that didn't afford them to progress in the traditional fashion to D1 football, does that diminish their football talent...NO.

He is not in the SEC but Marion Grice is one looking back I wish we could have landed. Last year he averaged almost 7 yards a carry and scored 11 TDs at ASU. Juco RBs are fine by me as long as the staff thinks they can contribute from day 1, I say take them. Like the fact this kid is SEC size and looks like he could get the tough yards.

I was 2 years old when Garner came to UT lol. I had zero clue he was a JuCo guy. I didn't start keeping up with UT recruiting till about 6 years ago. I always went to the games as a kid knowing Fulmer was going to put us in a great position to win year in and year out, up till about 2007. As I said it was just a question that I was curious about. I have zero problems bringing in a JuCo RB.

I was about 40 years old that tell you one thing when Fulmer was here you didnt have to keep up with recruiting, because you knew you was going to have a good class.

Damien Williams at Oklahoma. We had a real shot at him. Not sure how his year ended up, but he had great games every time I saw OU play. Would have been nice to have him this year.

He put up like a thousand yards and 12 TDs. Some would consider that acceptable.

Brandon Jacobs. Didn't have success in the SEC at Auburn, but was buried behind Cadillac and Ronnie Brown. Transferred to SIU and ended up doing alright.

I like this Judd kid. He could be a nice addition.
