Calvin Heurtelou - Highlight Videos, Schedule & Roster - Hudl

I hesitated to make this thread due to the overwhelming (ridiculous) panic by some on this board in regards to defensive tackle recruiting.

I stumbled upon his profile today. I don't know when we offered, but he holds an offer from Tennessee. It's probably nothing new.

Missouri leads. 3* on 247.

We are only taking 6 star DTs this year. Don't want.... unless..... can he play WR?

Thanks for reigniting the DT panic spark VinA. Was getting a little quiet in here this morning.

what? a DL we haven't heard of? That isn't on the list of 5 that are the only ones in the world we have any chance at ever getting commits from? What sorcery is this?

Already a qualifier with little restriction as to where he can play at the next level, he will have three years to play two once he enrolls at his next institution.

..."Missouri, Kansas State, Tennessee, Arizona State and Rutgers are my favorite schools," he told NJ.com.

Heurtelou described to NJ.com what he is looking for in a college: "Good coaches, facilities, education and a team that has the scheme that fits me the best."

...He will make his decision in time to enroll at the school of his choice in January. So far, he has taken an unofficial visit to the University of Miami (Fla.) and plans to also visit Kansas State, Tennessee and Missouri before announcing his intentions.

Judging from that list, this is one we should pull in if we really want him.

Over at Scottsdale, the Fighting Artichokes look like a program on the rise in 29013 and have two guys worth mentioning in Bryce Hall and Calvin Heurtelou. Hall has an early offer from Eastern Illinois with Kansas, Maryland, Michigan State, Penn State and Washington looking after redshirting at Eastern Michigan in 2012. At 6-foot-3 and 295 pounds with a 23-inch vertical, Hall should be ready to give Scottsdale a big boost up front this coming season. Heurtelou had a decent freshman season for the Artichokes when he registered 14 tackles with four tackles-for-loss and two sacks as in 2012. He has been a hot target for scouts during the spring picking up offers from Cincinnati, Miami, Kansas State, Missouri, Texas State and Western Kentucky with as many as 15 others looking. At 6-foot-4 and 295 pounds with a 28-inch vertical, Heutelou looks powerful and quick on film, with a sensational frame to work with. The two combined should be one of the better inside duos in the nation in 2013. Since the original release, Heurtelou has picked up new offers from Rutgers and Tennessee.

Do we think the staff would take two JuCo DTs or is this a one or the other/back up plan to Lambert ordeal?

Somebody said the other day that O'brien wasn't what we had hoped for. If so, we may need two next year.
