To slow for WR but could work at TE.

“My top five is Arkansas, Arizona State, Auburn, South Carolina and Tennessee,” Lamin notes. “I definitely want to find a place I can play two years or three years and have a home.”

If we could score this guy and Lambert, it would make me feel a lot better going into the 2014 campaign. It would allow us to really replenish the position moving forward

If we landed those two guys with Hendrix, Poona, and Sawyers I'd wet my pants, change, and then probably wet them again.

Ideally we need 4 DTs since we have whiffed other than O'Brien the last 2 years. Hendrix being a DE, I would say one to 2 more DEs would be ideal in the above hypothetical scenario. I'm just glad we have valid shots at a lot of these guys.

Well I think with Lewis, Willaims, Carr, Veeren, Brown, and Miller we have a great young core at DE. Bynum may play some LEO DE as well too. You add Hendrix to that equation and you have 7 DE possibly 8 that will be ready to go come 2015. I also think we could land a Henderson or Barnett too which would help. My point is I'd just take the 6-7 best D-Line guys I could get while making sure that at least 2-3 of them can play DT.

Agree. A small quick and talented DL isn't ideal for the SEC, but it's better than big bodies with no talent.

^Not really relevant to this thread about a DT recruit but just my 2 cents on us going after so many DEs.

Tennessee offered stud JUCO DT Abu Lamin (@Im_SelfMade26) and with the needs at DL you can figure he'll be a priority moving forward.

Good news, this guy is a beast. He would make an immediate impact. Anyone know how many years he has left to play?

Lamin is a North Carolina native and look for the Vols to push to receive an unofficial visit at some point this summer if Lamin can get home for a break. The Vols are in Lamin's top five right now with Auburn, Arkansas, South Carolina and Arizona State.

Interestingly enough on Lamin, he redshirted last year at Fort Scott and would have three years to play three wherever he ends up.

“I’m going to try to take an unofficial (to Tennessee), but I want to take an official visit, for sure, during the season or something and come out there and see a game,” Lamin said. “I definitely want to see one of those. But I’m going to try to come down there for an unofficial during the summer sometime.”

“That’s definitely big-time, because they definitely have JUCO D-linemen that come in there, and they definitely have a good career,” Lamin said. “One right now — (rising senior defensive tackle) Daniel McCullers — he’s from JUCO, and he’s having a good little year there at Tennessee right now. They’ve got one of the best stadiums in the country.

“They definitely have some qualities that I’m definitely looking at, and I definitely want to take a visit out there, for sure.”

He says he'll make a decision towards the end of the football season.
