We seem to be going after sub 6' guys. I'm gonna love the speed but I hope we don't get pushed around.

Collins Hill has some decent talent on their team this year. There is an OL prospect (c/o 2014) who is pretty good this year too. Christian Harris. 6' 6'' 275 as a JR. Has the frame to bulk up big time. Being recruited by UGA, Bama, LSU, Louisville. Those are the only ones I know about. I am sure there are more.

Comments on this kid along with our own Josh Smith following the 2012 Nike Combine.

Tyler Henderson (2014) Collins Hill High

let's put Henderson's performance in perspective. there were 1,447 kids who ran the 40 at this Nike Combine. the fastest 40 time posted was 4.53 seconds. young Henderson ran his 40 in 4.58 seconds, good for 11th-overall (coincidentally tied with the aforementioned Smith). Henderson also posted a sparkling 4.18 shuttle and with a 32.9-inch vertical leap. his overall SPARQ rating of 96.57 was the 25th-highest at the combine.

Some impressive statements in there. I'll be interested to see how he develops this upcoming year.

Combine results here: ESPNHS 2012 Nike Football SPARQ Combine Atlanta Official Results - Mar. 11, 2012

Also, some more good comments here: Football Preview: Collins Hill Eagles. This was a preview prior to his Junior season.

“(Henderson’s) the fastest kid on the team,” Collins Hill head coach Kevin Reach said. “He’s been timed in the low 4.4’s (seconds in the 40-yard dash). He can go. I feel pretty good about him, plus he can catch the ball well out of the backfield. We’ve got some good playmakers.”

He's got deceptive speed? He's got a great motor? He's a heady player? Compare him to Danny Woodhead, Craig James, Peyton Hillis? Racist IMHO

Peyton Hillis? No not at all other than being white.

Hillis - 6'2" 250
This guy - 5'9" 175

That was my point Phat... no matter what, a white skill player will only be compared to another white skill player, regardless. And the stereotypes are always the same. I was just illustrating absurdity by being absurd. For example, Ryan Swope, the receiver from Texas A&M ran a 4.35 40 at the combine, but the scouting report said he didn't have good straight line speed and they compared him to Wes Welker and Jordy Nelson. Of course this kid doesn't compare to Peyton Hillis, but since they're both white I threw Hillis in there just for fun.

I got schooled on the stereotyping long ago by an AA friend of mine after I commented that Billy Cunnkingham could jump for a white guy. He looked at me, shook his head and said "Think about what you just said". He said that is the equivalent of saying a black guy is well spoken.

Exactly.

I got ya now. Went way over my head the first time, obviously (was litterally thinking to myself wtf do any of them have in common skill-wise). It's hard to tell on here sometimes bc someone else could have said that and completely meant it. But I completely agree.

No worries Phat. This place is dripping with sarcasm which is partially the beauty of it. Makes it entertaining, at least to me. I started to go Rocky Bleier and Brian Piccolo as well but ultimately decided against it. This kid's measurables look really good and he might be a good get. I guess the point is I hope people don't discount him as a good recruit because he plays a traditionally "black" position. Kinda like the black quarterback used to be. I think I could argue the white rb is now far more scoffed at than the black qb has been for awhile now. Maybe justified because a white rb is so rare. Anywho, I'll take this kid if he fits the system. Plus he might play with an extra large chip on his shoulder.
