Tennessee recently hosted one of the top athletes in Florida when Miami quarterback Quinton Flowers was on campus several weeks ago.
"It was good. I got to meet the coaches and see how everybody is up there," Flowers explained. "I talked to coach Jake and he was telling me about how everything is up there and everything is about competing. If you are coming in or whatever, you have to compete."
"I when I got up there and got on campus I started liking it. There was just something that had me feeling like that's a place I would like to go," Flowers said. "I sat down with coach Jake and we talked and everything and I just liked it."
"They were telling me that they need a quarterback and that I could come in and play as a freshman but I have to compete and work hard," Flowers said. "I told him that's how I am and I love competing and I just try and out work my opponent."
Flowers said after the Visit the Vols are in his top seven and other schools like Nebraska, USF, Clemson, Cincinnati and Alabama were recruiting him hard as well.
