"Tennessee offered me today," said Doss. "My coach told me about the offer. They offered me as a quarterback. I spoke with Coach Thigpen. He was excited. He is ready to get me down there. He is excited about recruiting me."

Doss looks forward to his first trip to Knoxville and checking out the Volunteers next month.

"I like Tennessee," he said. "It's an exciting offer. I have never been there. I know they have a great atmosphere and a great fan base. I am really excited about the offer. I am going up there either March 9th or March 16th.

The 6-foot-2, 207-pound prospect has offers from Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Tennessee. He will attend Auburn's Junior Day this weekend. "

From AU Rivals re Junior Day comments -

"The visit was fantastic. I enjoyed myself, they have a great coaching staff and I like what they are doing with the program. I like Coach (Gus) Malzahn, Coach (Rhett) Lashlee and Coach (J.B.) Grimes. Today was my first day in Auburn, the coaches were straight forward throughout the process. We stay in touch. They caught my attention.

"I thought about a decision, but I have to spend more time with my coaches and family. They said I fit their system. They think I'm a playmaker and a great quarterback. I talked to Coach Malzahn and he said he liked my film, I can throw the ball and run the zone reads, he really likes me. I think I'm a great fit for his system.

"I'm visiting Ole Miss, Miss. State and Tennessee soon. I'm going to Tennessee in March, Ole Miss in April. Everybody is even, everybody is at the top."

He has to let the high of the visit wear off. He'll come back down as he gets more visits to other schools and have a base to compare. Sounds like he really likes AU, but he hasn't been to the HILL yet either.:loco:

Good looking quarterback. It will be tough to beat AU for him though IMO. His visit here will make things interesting
