Pro-Style Quarterback
Fork Union, Virginia
Fork Union Military Academy
Ht: 6'3"
Wt: 200 lbs
Class: 2013 (High School)

This week Hackenberg told us he is hearing from many schools, with the following currently at the top of his list: Georgia, North Carolina, Miami, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Tennessee. He also indicated that he would be attending one day camps at each of the schools listed above.
In April at the National Underclassmen Combine Will Garlick wrote "The quarterbacks had to deal with a strong wind but they may have been the best looking group as a whole. Fork Union's Christian Hackenberg (6-foot-3, 200) looks the part with his size and he has all the fundamentals you want in signal caller. The combine quarterback coach said Hackenberg had great form and he was named the top sophomore quarterback."

Had an impressive camp per VQ. He'll be a junior so he's not a typical prep guy.

The red on his right cheek kind of looks like a power T. That's got to be a good sign right?

He'll be one of many class of 2013 prospects expected to attend Tennessee's game this weekend against Georgia and is excited to experience the night game atmosphere that Knoxville offers.

"I'm just looking forward to the whole atmosphere at Neyland Stadium and the SEC brings and getting an opportunity to experience it," Hackenberg said.

Hackenberg camped at Tennessee this summer and arrived in town a few days early to check out the campus and has heard from family friends what it turns into on game day.

"I've heard about the Vol Walk and stuff. Just all the tradition and the Vol Navy, I think that's pretty cool," Hackenberg said.

Hinshaw and Sirmon are his main recruiters.

"Just the atmosphere there really impressed me. Nothing like playing in front of 102,000 every Saturday. That was definitely the thing that stood out the most to me — just the whole atmosphere, pregame, the facilities and that type of stuff," Hackenberg said.

"(Hinshaw) and I usually talk on Facebook, and I try to give him a call weekly," Hackenberg said. "That's going really well. We're getting to know each other, and it's sort of taking off from there."

Release is lightning fast, looks to have all the tools. JMO of course, but he'd be a great option for our 2013 QB. 4 star on 247.
