I think it's likely that the SEC will accept Texas AM's request to become a member when it's delivered.
While, The general consensus is that the SEC will want to add at least one more team to keep the divisions equal, it is possibe to create a workable and fair schedule for 13 teams until the right team comes along.
By adding Texas AM to the west and keeping the East as it is, all teams could continue to play an 8 game SEC schedule.
Each East team would continue to play every East opponent once per season, keeping their permanent West rival and continuing to play two other West teams on a rotating basis.
In the West Division things would change slightly. Texas AM would have no permanent East rival, and all the West division teams could have 2 permanent West division rivals. Teams would play the other West teams along with the East Teams on a rotating basis. In any given season the West teams would play either 2 East teams and all 4 other West teams, or 3 East teams and only three of the other West teams.
