"He's by far the best prospect we've ever had at Pendleton," Sutherland said. "He's only 16 years old, too. He has a huge upside. He'll only be 17 when he graduates. You don't find kids of that age that have the natural strength, athleticism and flexibility that he does. Plus usually they have baby fat, but he doesn't have that."

There's a lot to like about the junior recruit. The 6-foot-3, 315-pounder bench presses 340 pounds, squats 500, power cleans 300, runs a 5.1-second 40-yard dash and holds a 2.8 GPA.

Through 10 games as a junior, Hill has 74 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 10 sacks and four forced fumbles at defensive tackle helping the Bulldogs to a region title.

Expected to be a Clemson-Carolina battle for Hill. Comes from a Clemson dominated area but he and his family like SC.

That kind of size and he is 16, WOW! Kid could be 6'5/6'6 and 350 lbs by the time he is on a college campus.

Already has learned to play low with good pad leverage and quick steps. This kid is a take in a heart beat by anybody.

What I find funny is that Rivals has him at 70 in the nation, 247 has him at 197, and Scout barely has a profile on him with no offers listed. WTF is Scout doing sleeping on this guy????

I personally don't like DTs that tall. JMO.

Then McCullers is not your guy. I know what you mean though; need shorter base for greater leverage. You have to consider, however, that these guys are now going up against o-lineman who are just as tall, if not even taller in most cases. Seems like most bigtime o-lineman are hitting somewhere between 6' 4" and 6' 7" these days.

We're after a lot of big bodies in this class. Glad to see us getting big again in the trenches. We were at our best when we brought the big boys in the trenches and let them go to work. When we had guys like Tony McDaniel as backups(and he was drafted without ever starting for us) those were the days. Bama fans feared having to play us every year.
