Per the Austin Sanders thread Kearsley has interest in UT but has never been recruited. Austins dad said that Austin has passed the contact information on to our staff. Figured he could use his own thread.

Austin said Kearsley was good! Google him and theres quite a bit of info on him. he told Austin that he would LOVE to play for the VOLS but TN doesnt recruit where he is

Absolutely! Austin already contacted Mahoney and gave him Braydens info.

I'm really enjoying the way alot of the new commits are recruiting for the Vols just as hard as CBJ and his staff are going after them. Very refreshing and it just feels likes Jones and company have done more in the right way in their short time here than what we'd seen (and heard after the fact) in the previous coaching staff.

Good size. West coast kid that has a ton of offers from Pac-12 schools has interest in us. Interesting!

Why are there so many 4 star players that we didn't even contact? Seems prudent to at least send a letter or give the guy a call to check interest.

I'm just going to assume he's a mormom until told otherwise. I wonder how hard it would be to get him away from BYU if that's the case.

You probably already know the answer.. It's all about the "Process" York... About a year into it, most of us knew it was the "process" of losing...

i hope we offer but bet it is hard to look at every high school player

IMO it's too late in the game for our staff to go down this road if there was no knowledge of this guy before. Coaches need to be comfortable with kids and now is no time to start from zero.

The guy committed in 2011 and is from Oregon. Can't blame the previous staff for not being involved with this one!

I would at least make the phone call. Starting from zero trying to get into a recruits door can be tough this late. When the recruit himself said he was interested, is holding open the door for you, and has dinner on the table, you go on in. JMO

My statement was slanted more toward the coaches comfort level. They need to understand fully each prospect and its very late in the game for that was my point.

He also said RB Alex Collins from Plantation, Fl area was interested in Vols but I still think he is either a UM or Arky lean but hope I'm wrong.

This is where recruiting gets interesting...because if he is truly interested then could that mean Morris from Memphis wouldnt have a spot?
