OK...I don't understand...Ross gets an offer, but we're not high on Holsey...so we didn't pursue him hard...same sizes, Holsey faster...Like I said, I don't get it...

Douglas is a 2013 prospect, Holsey is 2012. Douglas is going to be a HS junior. More than likely, he will still grow.

Maybe...but probably not more than an inch in height...that's the knock on Holsey, right? Not tall enough...

More to being a good football player than being fast and good size.

Being smart enough to learn a playbook, recognize O and D formations and how to adjust to those changes on a fly.

Dooley said he didn't want to sign good players so he could drive UT football into the ground. Star rankings are the only way to judge talent, and he refuses to sign any 4 stars this year.

From my understanding and I know a lot can change but Ross and DeNiro Laster will be a package deal in '13

Douglas' first offer came from Tennessee on the heels of an outstanding camp performance. Douglas says Tennessee is a school that he is seriously considering at this early stage in the process.

"Tennessee is a great program," Douglas said. "They have a great tradition. Their staff is in their second year on the job and they have definitely been getting it done up there."

In addition to his two offers, Douglas is being recruited by some other top programs from around the nation.

"Kentucky, Ohio State, North Carolina, those are the big ones right now," he said. "It's so early in the process that I can't really break down which schools are my favorites but I like all of the schools so far that have been recruiting me."

"everyone sticks out to me right now," douglas said. "it's so early for me that i can't even begin to break things down. I just want a place that feels like home and place that has a strong major. I want to feel comfortable there and it's important that i fall in love with the school."

tennessee has made a big impression on douglas. He was on campus for june camp and really enjoyed learning quite a bit about the vols.

"i know tennessee has a great tradition," douglas said. "this is the second year under coach dooley. They have a beautiful campus. My mom wanted to run track there. It's a great school with a great history."

- VQ. Also said he wants to make his decision before his senior year.

"I would probably say defensive back is where I would play at the next level," Douglas said. "I'm an athlete and they say the best athletes should play defense."

"I really like Tennessee. I talked to the linebackers coach, who is my recruiting coordinator. I also talked to the DB's coach and were showing me a lot of love."

Douglas does not have a set visit list of college games he will see this fall, but specifically mentioned the Tennessee-Georgia matchup in Knoxville on Oct. 8 as one he would like to attend.

Now has offers from UT, Minnesota, and UConn.
