Marquez Grayson will contend for top honors at running back in North Carolina in the next cycle. The junior already has five offers from schools in the ACC and SEC.

Clemson, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Virginia and North Carolina State have offered. Wisconsin and Tennessee are showing interest.

The Lexington (NC) has been to Clemson, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Tennessee. Tentative plans are to return to all four places later this fall.

Who leads early on?

"Clemson, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and then I'd say NC State," Grayson listed in order. "Clemson is just a great place with a great atmosphere. I like it a lot."

When the back does make his choice he'd like the school to have the following.

"Location and distance not far away from home," Grayson said. "A family plan there. I want to own my own business one day so a great business program would be a must. And how I feel there. Also it has to have a great atmosphere."

He shows good patience in waiting for his blockers. Has pretty good size and I'm guessing he could put on twenty pounds once he gets incorporated into a college weights program.

His highlight video didn't show a ton of speed. I'm not saying he's slow, but he wasn't making everyone else look like they were standing still. I'd like to know a forty time.

Definitely potential with another year to go.

Watching the highlights, he plays like a down hill runner. I don't think that will work at the next level due to his size. You would like to see him be a little more shifty.

In no specific order Grayson's top schools are Clemson, Duke, East Carolina, NC State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

Not sure If we have, but Rivals shows that he has one from UT. I think he got robbed not being included in the 4 stars today.

The Gamecocks are still in the 6-foot-1, 200-pounder’s top five but it will be hard to beat Tennessee for Grayson.

Per 247 article, Grayson has a very close relationship w/ Coach Graham. He wants to visit Tennessee again this summer or spring. He claims offers from Tennessee, UVA, VT, USCjr, ECU, Clemson, UNC, Duke, & N.C. State.
