He's a little underweight for a DE. IMO. Our strength & conditioning should help

Is this guy a professor or recruit? Jesus, he looks 30. Providence is a really good private school in Charlotte. Dooley and staff seem to be focusing more on North Carolina which is great. I've seen a lot of 2013 recruits in NC. With UNC's program going down the drain and NC State sucking, we can really make some moves with NC recruits and get back to recruiting NC like we were in the 80's and 90's. Florida and UGA have really stepped up their recruiting in NC, but I think we can get back to getting a couple recruits from there ever year.

Providence is not a private school. They are in the same conference as Butler and Independence so this kid plays against some good teams. They have given up 187 points in 5 games. You are right I wish Tennessee had a stronger foot hold in NC.

Yea n.c. should be like another home state for us considering its proximity to knoxville and the lack of a top tier program.

Providence is definitely a baseball school. But the competition is good, yes.

We are thinking about two different schools my bad. He goes to Providence High School. Charlotte also has Providence Day School, which is private. It's confusing and I am from North Carolina.

"Tennessee, Alabama, Clemson, North Carolina, and North Carolina State are schools showing a lot of interest right now. None have offered me yet, but I am hearing from them a lot," said Daniel Garces

"I will play anywhere in college. I am 6-foot-2, 220 pounds right now, so I could play end or move to linebacker. I will do whatever coaches want me to do. I like the rushing the passer and I think that is what I do best right now."
- Scout

Garces had 11 sacks as a Sophomore & 9 this year as a Junior, he is a Tennessee fan FWIW. He has been to 2 games so far this season.

“My top schools in order are Ball State, Alabama, Tennessee, and Clemson, “he said.

Despite the early offers and list of top schools, do not expect Garces to make a decision anytime soon.

“I will probably wait until Signing Day, unless something out of the ordinary happens,” he said.

Based on those comments, Ball State must be his only commitable offer. He's a back-up plan for the other 3 schools, and has been told that, since he will wait until NSD.
