Not sure how things look for your DB commits. Just wondering if there is any chance that Canty gets an offer as a 3* DB.

Cinci has told him that he is not in their plans. Left out in the cold, probably will go to a MAC school.

I know his coach very well. The kid would contribute here. Not sure if he could be coached up to Star status or not.

Right now, unless Sutton decommitts, We will probably take Bell and that will complete our class of DB's. If M. Alexander happenned to be interested we would find room, but unless Sutton decommits we probably will be through after Bell.

Tubbs is such a scum bag.

It's never easy to say that a player committed to a former staff is not a part of the new plan, but there is a wrong and a right way to do something.

Tubbs seems to live to do things the wrong way.

I hope yall land your top guys, and the wish list is complete. But if you dont, I hope Jaleel is the staff's Plan B. The kid can play at this level.

And thanks for the info. Im not a recruitnik, but I like to wander in here occasionally.

The article makes it seem like Jaleel is a staving homeless kid, and Tubbs stole his lunch. The kid has offers from Ball St., Cent. Michigan, etc......He will get to play D1 football and get a free education. His been dealt a better hand then most people in life.

HAD offers. That does not mean those schools still have room or would take him after he decided to stick with UC. I think it's a good thing when recruits tell of shady recruiting tactics. If a coach does not want it to go public, don't do it.

My post did seem that way but I didn't mean it to, but with the way our OV's are looking and with the current DB class, Bell seems to be the only true option to be added at this point. There was some talk of Sutton looking around and if that happens we may scramble for other options. M. Alexander is probably visiting this weekend, and if he wants to be in orange CBJ will find room. But Bell is the only realistic option. And if we keep everyone currently committed, I do not see us pushing for anyone else, even if Bell were to not choose us.

How is it shady? Butch offered him and then Tubbs decided he didn't want him.

Its shady because Tubbs should have told him a month ago that he was not going to honor the scholarship. Tubbs waited till he found a kid to replace him with then just didn't say anything. The KID had to keep calling asking what was going on. As much as I hate seeing kids dropped after they have committed, at least CBJ did it right away and DZ, and CG could find another place to go as they had alot more time than the 13 days for this kid.

Pretty sure Tubbs has only been Cinci head coach, for 5 or 6 weeks....... So It would be kinda hard to evaluate the whole recruiting class in 1 week.(In reply to "He should of told the kid a month ago.")

CBJ seemed to get it done quickly. He had what, maybe a 2-3 day head start over TT? 13 days is not much time for a kid to find a new school to go to. His hand is more less being forced because Tubbs did not respect the kid enough to let him know where he stood.

Re read the article(just skimmed it the first time) Your right, that was shady. I missed the part where they didnt call the kid back. Apology :)

No problem. I honestly thought you may be some sort of relation to TT. I thought, could I really be talking this out with his brother in law? :eek:lol:

No lol.... I just misread it. I skipped the part where they never called the kid back, and made him think for a month that he was still going to be offered scholarship.

Bill, you are one of my favorite rival posters, but PLEASE do something with that avatar!
:)

Bill doesn't come here to gloat or make disparaging remarks.
Other rivals need to follow his example. :hi:

no thanks. let him flourish at a MAC school.

Thanks guys. I like you folk, and it would be foolish to come into your house and treat you poorly. (I wouldnt treat your any different in my house either.) Most of us are just real people who love our schools, have to respect that!!

I think he will probably land in the MAC somewhere and be ok, but the system is flawed just a bit somewhere. I can understand if Tubbs thinks he can get someone better, but he sure didnt handle it well.

Alright, yall have fun. Im off to see if I can find a better avatar pic!! :)
