Tell us anything about where we are with other RBs?

The hardest thing to understand about these offers are whether or not they are commitable or not.

Seems awful late in recruiting to be making offers to kids they would not take. I think CBJ and staff are doing the smart thing here. They are not in a position to hope a 1 month relationship is enough to land the D. Greens of this class. I think they are playing it safe and will take kids like this if they want to be a Vol now rather than hope a Green decides to go to UT on NSD. Worse thing they could do is not fill the class in hopes of landing the big fish. Maybe the coaches do not feel as good about where we are with some recruits as some of the fans do. That seems to happen ALOT with Tennessee recruiting.

Imo. I do not think the offer is committable. I think they are pulling the old wait and see. Even if the kid tries to commit they make him hold off going public till they see where kids higher on their board are.

So the kid is a solid commit to WV and gets a UT offer. The offer though is nothing but a chance to go to UT IF our other options fall apart. I could see that with a kid who is still looking for a school. Not so much one who has been commited somewhere for months. Makes no sense to make an offer this late unless he is a kid you would take now.

As many new offers as we have out there I just can't believe they are all commitable. I think the timing of the visits are key and some visit will be canceled if we get good news from others.

I think they are looking for athletes with speed and this is someone they would take as a slot WR or RB out of the backfield. 4.4 speed. This is the type of kid WVU uses in their spread formations a lot. I see him in the 4 or 5 wr sets, but not as a pure RB

might be a fall back guy in case green goes to MICH. We need 2 quality backs in this class.

Coach Thigpen was recruiting him when he was at Auburn. So, there might be a decent relationship already established.

Glad we offered, before I watched his tape I thought he would be mediocre at best 3-star who had speed, but after watching film this kid runs with power and he has rare speed.
