"I plan on taking a few visits to some schools that I am able to get to. Maybe LSU, Tennessee, NC State; and once I return to Maryland I might be going to Penn State to visit and check it out," he told NittanyLionsDen.com. "The only offers so far [have] been Mississippi State and NC State."

"At the moment I'm interested in Mississippi State the most because they're showing the most love, but I'm also interested in the schools [that I will be visiting] above."

At the end of the day, what will McGee be basing his decision off of? "Most important is academics because there is a life after football. Also I would like to go to a school that has a winning tradition, or that is on a rise," he said. "Also, I love a school with a good fan base. As far as location, I don't really think that is going to play a big role in my decision."

"And I am really going to pay attention to the coaching staff, because I want to feel comfortable around them and a good coaching staff cares about their players so that would be a huge plus."

McGee did add that, "Right now Mississippi State has a lead, but other than that [all other schools] about even at this point. I can see myself at any school."

You have to have a certain number of posts to start a new thread. And Bynum is waiting till Sunday, as of now. There is a Bynum thread as well.

JMO, but I am not really impressed by this kid. Seems to benefit greatly from being in the right place at the right time: cleaning up other people's tackles, getting blocked in to ball carriers, etc. I also noticed that he doesn't stop the ball carrier in his tracks. He allows the ball carrier to gain an extra 2-4 yards after contact. Just not that impressed and think there are a lot better LBs we are in on.

Little weak in the upper body imo. 240 lb bench press for a D1 linebacker prospect seems more than a little bit low. Size, speed, and lower body seem ok.

Thinking the same thing. Its waaay to early to start throwing offers at kids like this. With the new facility, a winning season, better coaches, we will get the kids we need.

Just because he has an offer does not mean it is commitable. We have to offer a lot of kids and see if there is mutual interest. It doesn't mean that we will take his commitment.

I am sure we would gladly sign another player from their team, if it would get those 2 studs to TN!!

Don't know much about him but I see he hasn't signed anywhere yet. Would there be a chance that we try and pursue him?

Reggie McGee thought his college plans were settled, but it changed when Houston dropped him and left him without a school.

Now, McGee is waiting on schools, with the biggest issue being many programs are already filled at outside linebacker.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound McGee, who played at Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, Md.) is hearing from several schools, including Purdue and Ohio.

“I’m still in the process of talking to coaches and seeing where scholarships are available, and who is going to commit and not going to commit,” McGee said.” I’ve been talking to Purdue a little bit, but that’s all it is right now. They said they like my film.”

McGee was having discussions with Purdue’s former staff before he committed to Houston in the summer, but that group was let go at the end of the season.

“It’s kind of picking back up with them, but nothing is promised,” McGee said. “They don’t know what they can do yet.”

At this point, McGee said he is trying to remain upbeat and positive about the situation while awaiting answers.

“I’m just looking for an opportunity,” he said. “I am looking for a school with a good sports marketing program. As far football, I feel as though if I get an opportunity, then I could work my way up and compete to get on the field. I’m not looking for promises.”

We could use an extra body at the LB position. Who knows, he might be a diamond in the rough. Film looks good.
