YouTube - Jatavius Stewart #1 QB/WR/RB/FS 2008 Jr Season Highlights- Football

Here is a video of this kid out of Rock Hill goes to the same high school that Jonathan Hefney went to. I know his dad and he told me that he has been getting calls from Tennessee over the past 2 weeks. This kid has a great head on his shoulders and although he is not highly ranked it is because he has not been to the camps to give him those ranking. He was clocked running a 4.25 in the fourty on 2 different clocks nobody can catch him in the open field. He is a unbelievable athlete with great speed.

With the few remaining spots we have, don't think we need "potential" skill player project. We need a couple more OL, a LB or 2, a DB, and maybe even another QB or RB if the fit is right.

That kid is no 4.25, I knew that before I even watched the video. Chris Johnson is a 4.25 guy and he is always the fastest guy on the field in the NFL.

He looked good though, not saying he can't play, but he isn't a 4.25, not even close.

He was clocked at 4.25 on 2 different clocks side by side at a high school combine in South Carolina earlier this year. Just telling you what I KNOW believe it or not this kid is that fast trust me seen him play all year and those highlights were from last year he is bigger and faster now and is not a Potential skill player he is one no doubt about it!!!!

Buddy of mine called me this morning and his son jatavius Stewart picked up a vol offer. He is a WR has great speed and sure hands. He has one more year at the juco in kanas. He plays at the juco with the WR from northwestern Patterson. Kid would be a great get. He would still have 3 years to play after medical red shirt his first year at juco broke his arm. He has offers from Oregon, Georgia , Tennessee , Missouri , and some others I know those are the ones that just offered.

Not sure we'd take both of them but we're really looking for some junior college wide outs aren't we?

He told me Patterson was pretty much a sure thing because he wanted to play with Worley again. And I'm sure we would take both of them.

That's good, hopefully that's true and he doesn't play for South Carolina.

His dad told me the recruiter told him they would love to have him and needed him. His is very fast great hands. He returned punts and kick offs in high school. I'm just going off what his dad is telling me and he is a pretty straight forward guy.

Are JUCO WR a need? I can think if many other ways to spend schollies. When I look at our roster I don't see us bringing in guys that are at the same eligibility of Hunter and Rogers. You bring in freshmen IMO to develop along as Hunter and Rogers prepare to move on. If they were both juniors already then we would have a great need.
