David Williams put Palermo in touch with Strong...

"Basically he said they are going to keep in touch and try to get out to a game and watch me play," Strong said.

"I just know one of my favorite receivers just got, unfortunately, suspended, Da'Rick Rogers, he was a big idol to me," Strong said. "But, Tennessee is playing in the SEC and me and him are considered the same kind of receivers."

"David is big on Tennessee so that's how I got in the picture with Tennessee because we want to end up at the same school and he was looking out for me," Strong said. "He liked it there, told me he loved it."

Strong said he hopes to be done with school by next May to be able to have three years of eligibility, but if not he will graduate next December and be a class of 2014 player. Right now he's just concentrating on his upcoming season.

This may be all we need to know concerning Williams. Hopefully his homeboy can be apart of the 13' class as well.

More than likely will end up a EE in the '14 class. He was a non-qualifier out of HS so he has to stay two Fall semesters at JUCO.

If that rule is true, I don't see how it's "more than likely" he's a 2014 guy. It would seem to be a certainty, right?

Do it! It's a popular choice apparently. Or it was 17-18 years ago judging by this current class.

This. Seams like the name Jalen directly correlates to growing into a stud D-1 prospect. I think I'll do that. Look out folks...future 2030 VOL LOCK to be. Just a heads up, LOL.

His senior highlight film music has more cussin' than I heard in three years in the Navy. And he's a showboat after scoring. Guess that's just swag.

Sigh. I'm old.

Had 31 catches for 761 yards (24.5 avg.) and 10 TDs his senior year.

Strong graduated from HS in '11; where was he last fall?

Any opinions on this guy? I can't see his film while at work.

I like what I saw of the film. He seemed pretty good with attacking the ball and catching with his hands as opposed to letting it get all the way to his body. Has good size, but looked pretty fluid in his cuts and had a good burst. Definitely will follow how his recruitment plays out, seems like there is some decent potential here for sure IMO.

No, don't follow the leader. Give the kid a name to live up to. Jalen has been way overdone. A little idenity, if you please. Sebastian----or something with a ring. There are better names. "I tell you life ain't easy for a boy named sue." Constantine, something that makes a statement. What's in a name? Many successful people attribute some to their given name. Research names-----it is a big deal.

Yeah, I'm aware that it's a big deal. Both my boys have unique names and I have a solid list for this one. We'll work something out for sure.
