He sounds like a high character kid that could fill a need with several rising upper class men on the O-Line...specifically if someone like Tiny wanted to jump early to the NFL having a contingency plan could be good. I'm also curious to see if this is indicative of the progress of some of the other O-Line prospects we have...it does seem to be odd we'd be offering him.
Think the coach's know what OL fits the way they want to run their offense. I couldnt tell you the difference between one OL to another. This guy is huge. I'm sure some guys are better suited for a physical pro style that CBJ runs as compared to a finesse, spread or any other type offenses. I remember hearing our OLine was much better suited for pass blocking than run blocking. No idea how you can tell, have been curious how you evaluate OLinemen. But have been successful everywhere and knows exactly what he needs to run his offensd. I think we will be fine on offense, its the defensive side that I am curious to see develop.
Bring him in & let him look around. Dude is 6'6" & 320#...heck yeah. If nothing else, teach the dude how to play DT. Fresno State & Utah or Conn. aren't just pushovers.
who knows he may work out I say the big plus side is he is an EE otherwise I wouldn't bother. Maybe bring this kid in and let him earn some playing time with the rest of our OL and maybe red shirt our three high school players.
5.2 forty yard time at 6'7" 320 good grades EE heck take a look at him. You never have to many big athletic OL. Worth the visit to me, nobody said we offered yet, have we.

247 shows a UT offer. I would be interested to know which pic on 247 is this guy currently. One shows a much more leaned down player size wise. There is a 12 minute video of him on youtube while playing at Fullerton. He seems to run block well. I have to say our coaches seem to really be looking hard for recruits.
It is an interesting offer, but I am never as concerned with offers for low rated offensive linemen. It is the one position where low rated guys develop all across the country. Wisconsin develops a lot of linemen who aren't highly rated. The skill positions are the ones where you have to eventually recruit high level players. Also I believe Koehler projected as a guard so this guy is not the same position.
Forget about Azusa Pacific this kid played at Mater Dei HS which is one of the top teams in CA before JUCO. Not sure how good he is maybe could be another Chad Clifton.
just having those two in the fold as the only two takes would make the situation look way, way better on the OL. I'm not terrified about the status of it, but man they'd be nice to have
