Worry a lot.

I have a buddy of mine that is a huge UK fan, and we were talking about the Stoops hire. I think this was the best available move for UK, imo a UK Homerun. But 1 of 3 things will happen in the next 3-4 years...

1. He will do well and change the culture of the program and jump ship for the first big time offer.

2. He will do well and change the culture of the program and UK will dole more money out to try and keep him a few more years, delaying the inevitable.

3. The AD will get tired of him after 2-3 years of subpar performances and it will start over again at square 1...

I think he will make a UK an annual 5-7 to 7-5 team in the SEC and will bolt, and UK will become the coaching mentor program of major conferences like Cincinnati has become...jmo

Well yeah, that sums it up the scenarios. In the meantime, if he can move the needle to 7-8-9 wins, it's a good hire.

Coaches are less quick to move for other jobs than they used to be, as a Tennessee fan you should be painfully aware of this. Charlie Strong, James Franklin are just two examples of guys who could get 'better' jobs - with UK willing to pay as much as anyone AND the fanbase is excited about 7 wins (as opposed to other SEC schools where 7 get you fired) he might stay longer than you hope.
