'13 IN DE Elijah Daniel

We beat Avon and ED tonight! Matt Johnson talked to him after the game and he has backed off his commitment to clemson. Matt told him to go to UT and he said that if he is going there he would definitely go there. ED told Matt that they would talk more later.

Good news! Thanks, Mr. Johnson! Didn't Matt receive an offer from TN already?

Good info. Thanks. :hi: Really could use your son's athleticism in our secondary.

No. Matt hasn't received any offers yet but, he is hearing from a lot of schools. Playing QB is hurting his recruitment a little right now but, wait until I do his highlight's. There is some explosive runs that will get some attention.

Rumors this guy could be flipping to Indiana. His commitment to Clemson is soft and many schools are reportedly backing off because of qualifying concerns. This gives Indiana that possibility of a class that includes Darius Latham, Antonio Allen, David Kenney III, and Elijah Daniel. Not sure I can remember Indiana ever landing that many 4 stars

Avon (Ind.) High Top100 defensive end Elijah Daniel announced that he is no longer committed to Clemson on Saturday.

The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Daniel had been a commit to the Tigers since June.

"Just don't feel like it's the right fit for me and family doesn't think either," Daniel posted on his Twitter.

The schools that could possibly be the right fit for Daniel that he's still considering includes Florida, Indiana, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Arizona State and possibly Marshall. Daniel's older brother Armonze is a red-shirt freshman defensive lineman at Marshall and he's already taken an official visit.

A future Under Armour All-American, Daniel recently told 247Sports he'd be taking an official visit to Mississippi State the weekend of Nov. 16, and that he'll also take officials at some point to Arizona State and Florida.

Daniel is ranked by the 247Composite as the nation's No. 4 strong-side defensive end and No. 66 prospect overall.

lol espn has him decommitting as of tuesday

Which two are not like the others???? Ha

I am sure IU is because its the instate school and I assume that Marshall is because of grades???

Grades are a major issue with Daniel. He's tried to visit UF 3 times this season but staff wouldn't allow it until he gets his fall grades in. He'll end up at Marshall with his brother or Ole Miss.

Supposedly didn't make the grades for UF. Muschamp cancelled his visit. Looking like Ole Miss/Miss State.......if he can even get into one of those at this point.

haven't been over on ITG in a few days so is this new? BC Daniel visit was pushed back until Feb 1 so he could have time to improve his core gpa/test score.

Just coming out today. Although, now I've heard GC is saying that the visit could still be taking place.

Not really, this is one that fell into Ole Miss's lap because of his academic issues.

Some of OM's hot recruiting is circumstances in addition to having a good year and a good coach. Treadwell's friend is on the team, Nkemdiche's brother is on the team (Nutt recruited him), and Conner is at South Panola, an OM pipeline. It also helps that they had a winning season.
