This kids on pace to break all the school records in rushing, this year he had over 1600 yards as a Soph and usually he would sit by halftime or 4th quarter. Hes from the same high school as Tauren Poole and they keep in contact frequently. I know he wants to visit Knoxville, him and Keyante Green in 2013 would be an excellent get.

Got an invite by Coach Sirmon to attend the Orange and White Game so him and his father will be visiting campus that weekend.

As OV mentioned, Thornton attends the same high school as current Vol Tauren Poole.

Ran a 4.45 40 yard dash today was one of the Top 5 RBs in a loaded competition. Coaches stated Thornton was lightning quick outta his breaks and very explosive. Confirmed that he is leaving UGA on Friday from the Nike Camp and heading to Knoxville for the O+W Game. Remember hes just a sophomore will be one of the Top backs in the state in 2013.

If UGA does indeed pull Marshall this year plus Crowell last year thats basically the #1 RB two years in a row. I wouldn't see them pulling an elite RB in 2013. Point is it should help us with GA backs in '13.

He expanded on this by saying that Poole and Chaz talk often and Poole has been telling him how it is up here.

Tauren even offered up a "Good luck Chaz!" tweet in response to CLMckee's.

He just called me and told me all about his interview hes really excited to get to Knoxville. He rode with me yesterday to the VTO Camp and he has a 3.3 GPA. Hes a great kid character wise always has a positive attitude. Ran in a track meet Thursday won all the races he competed in. His last 100 time was 10.8

OV, tell him to go ahead & commit :) we can get a jump start on the '13 class. Lol

Is he hearing from any schools right now?

It's always good that he has a lot of friends that have UT ties. I hope those ties remain when it's his time in the spotlight for recruiting.
