"It was a real, 'Wow,' for me because it was a big campus and it was the first time I had ever been there," Mathis said of his trip to Knoxville. "Their practice was really good and I met coach Sal (Sunseri) and he's a pretty good coach and has NFL experience and he knows how to train guys that have the dream of going to the NFL and he would help them. I would be glad to play there."
"It seems like he wants perfection from everybody because he worked under coach Nick Saban at Alabama and I respect that and he wants the best out of you and he wants you to be the best," Mathis said. "He wants a major tempo, he wants everybody energetic and everybody flowing and nobody is lollygagging around and stuff."
"He (Dooley) said that he was glad I came and that he hoped I liked the visit and they were going to keep in touch with me and they would want to see my tape and figure out the decision on me," Mathis said.
