I really like Mcgee upside. CMR needs to send Muschamp a thank u card for Mcgee and 4 other ga commits. Starting to think Ga has him on retainer

big fan of mcgee myself.. i was hoping we would offer. we add him to and that should end our lb recruiting. each staff have their own targets and have their plan.. i am sure muschamp has a good list of guys he is after and in our situation when we are taking 33 to 34 guys we can load up on some spots like ilb and cb and wr.

bye bye langley oh well figures

not so fast.. mauger came up with his family w/o langley and committed and then langley showed up and tried to compete, but he just wasn't interested in being there. he didn't want to do any interviews and basically didn't want to be there. langley loves a usce coach and he was talking to a player who went to usce at the opening about that coach and is pretty stoked about usce. uga has a big need for safeties and would take mauger by himself which is what i said earlier in this thread.

On langley, simmons says Langley even after maugers commitment bama and vols still top 2

I am not sure what happened with Langley. But I knew UA had backed off and heard UGA has as well. I would also not be surprised if he commits today or shortly after the USC camp he is at. I hear they may be the team to beat now. FWIW

yep he might very well end it after the usce showcase.. based on what he did last night at dawgnight that wouldn't surprise me at all.

He may well do exactly that, but I would not be surprised if this is just the opening act of a charade. First, they let Mauger commit by himself to give him his moment in the limelight and give the appearance that he is a stand alone commitment when in reality he is a lower tier SEC talent. Then after a decent interval, probably in early to mid August, Langley (now a silent commitment to UGA) will take his commitment public and he and Mauger will play together as dawgs.

JMO, though.

July 25th, as of right now.

like i said wouldn't surprise me at all after how he acted last night. even with how he acted langley was on campus for most of the day today in athens. we received another commitment from paris bostick at safety (he was something at dawgnight). so our numbers are getting a bit more tight in the defensive backfield especially with fluker about to commit.

so you believe this was all a master plan for a 3 star cb/safety? langley is not good enough of a recruit to do some package deal and that is not what is happening here. you probably haven't seen one minute of his play in person, but our staff has and we will take mauger by himself if langley wants to go to usce or somewhere else. mauger is a legit sec prospect all by himself. you act like langley is a 5 star blue chipper when he isn't. he is a good prospect, but he isn't someone you waste a scholarship on his buddy to get him. you overestimate who langley is and underestimate how good mauger is.

I wouldn't take his wacko theories seriously.

Mauger has offers from GA, Iowa State, Furman, Navy, and Ohio. Georgia selects players from Georgia and I do not think this is a player on the official selection sheet. He may have performed well in front of the coaches but highers rated options are still out there for Georgia in July. Just my opinion of course.

I agree on the offer list. We need to sign a full class, we're talking 30+. IMO, its no different when you award walkons with schollys because you undersigned.

The coaches worked him out and felt he should be offered. I'll take him.

And here the sec thought they were making it a hard and fast 25 a year. Joke.
