Ok here's the deal on Fred. He says he's coming to Tennessee but the only people he has told is his friends on twitter. The only thing OFFICIAL to come out is @ROCKY TOP VOLS posted that Fred Payne was deciding between Tennessee and Western Kentucky on NSD.

if he wants to be a vol and he beats someone out then I say Rock on!! Preferred walk on?

yall look at stars too much. maybe they gave him 2* because he had a bad 40 time where he tripped or something.

Not sure what's going on with Fred. He says he's going to Tennessee but I haven't seen anything official saying he was coming. Not sure if he wants to wait until NSD like WR North wasn't able to, or if Tn. told him if they had room they'd take him so he doesn't have an offer, or if it's as a walk on or what. So while he says he's coming to Tennessee there's nothing Official so until it comes out as Official no one can really say he's coming.

Yeah, I ain't gonna lie...I am obsessed with Rivals. But, at same time, I always find myself saying, "C'mon man" when I see the " if we add this dude we will be ranked ___..." post.

On the other hand, he may be a 2* because he is slow. In any event, if dude wants to walk on and fill out the roster and class, because I don't see how we get to 27, go vols! Lets bring the motha******g Payne baby!

Whatever I'm sure he has ran more then one 40 in his life. If a guy can play coaches will find him and this kid has one offer. I doubt he really runs a 5.03 (40) though. That would make him one of the slowest 5'11" black guys on earth. I'm guessing he's in the 4.6 range. If there is anything to this at all it's a play on Watson but Watson is going to Clemson as long as Chad Morris is there and if not UGA.

Only thing that has come of this is @ROCKY TOP VOLS posted on twitter that Fred was deciding between Tennessee and Western Kentucky on NSD but they have been the only site to say anything about it at all. Fred is telling all his friends on twitter that he is going to Tennessee but there's nothing OFFICIAL anywhere to back up his claims. And again @ROCKY TOP VOLS is the only place that even said anything about him deciding between the 2 schools and then Al Hinshaw posted this Al Hinshaw ‏@Hinshaw_10

@RockyTopVols @_fredpayne20_ that's sad when a player is deciding between #Tennessee and western Carolina #VFL

other than that there's nothing else on this matter anywhere at all. v
