UT has offered. UGA leads, but UT is thought to closely follow. Fortenberry stated today that Davis really likes Coach Hinshaw and wants to get up to UT for a visit.

really wanted him in our class but the staff balked at both Davis and Williams commits. Now that Bailey and Coley seem off the table I think UF will turn up the heat on Davis or Richard Benjamin at Slot.

he's also a great baseball player with offer from UF and SC so that will play a factor.

Thanks for the info. UGA seems to be the leader, but if UF does turn up the heat then I can see the Gators becoming a big factor.

If they can get him on campus I think they stand a good chance. He says they are just behind Georgia. We'll see if he gets here this summer. Also, it's weird that FSU isn't on a kid at Lincoln that's as good as him. We'll see what happens there.

kids like Davis get pushed down list because of the number of elite WR this year and it's a very deep year in Fl. Don't think he's a take for UGA at this point either. He almost committed to USF and tried to pop for Fl so he's all over the place atp. Clemson will be a factor depending on their "numbers".

How many can y'all take this year?

we are taking over 30 this year. most likely 31 to 33 if we get the right guys. we had 19 commits for the 2012 class and have reached that already. we could have close to 25 by the time the season starts.

If you took 19 you can only back-count 6, right? If they're EE's, and you're under the 85.

I'm not sure how all that works.

Good get...too bad UF didn't take him or Taj.

What's the hang up with Taj and UGA? Heard you guys didn't take him commit last week

We heard he didn't have an offer. Our staff was recruiting him, but no offer for him yet. I say yet because it still could happen. Depends on what priester does in the near future.

We took 19, but we could backcount 2 to 3 so we can backcount about 8 players and right now we will have at least 10 early enrollees. Also we are well under the 85 number.

The projection on EE's versus what actually ends up happening is never accurate.
