Just a fun thread to start. We can always say we have been watching him since he was a Freshman.

"He's the best tailback in the country for his age," said Tyrrell, in his first season at Chaminade after six seasons at Canton (Ohio) St. Thomas Aquinas. "He already looks like his dad."

The story piece on ESPN about Pahokee interviewed Fred Taylor.

Kelvin was one of the big stories of Skills Day for our Camp

5'10 190 for an incoming freshman are excellent mesurables. He'll probably be around 6'-6'1 215 by his senior year. And running in the 4.5s even before entering HS is ridiculous.

Think he'll be the No.1 prospect his senior year. Sanders and Taylor in back to back years.

he looks like he could cut/shuffle in a phone booth...he has genetics on his side and his dad can get him the best training available.

Some say gator lock just cuz of his dad but his dad is a Pro and knows you do whats best for yourself. Unless things change between now and his Sr year; you want to be an NFL RB you dont play for Urban Meyer. His dad let him come camp here for a reason.

Bryce Brown, Oku, T Williams.

If the kid watches these guys over the next few years he'll see what a RB will do in a prostyle O. Will only help the recruiting if these kids kick tail in college. We keep Gran, our RBs get drafted, we stay in touch with Kelvin, we stand a good chance in the future snagging him.

What amazes me about Lane and Co is his execution of a recruiting strategy and their ability to do it quickly. They are not waiting to be successful. They are doing it right now. Lane said that when the recruiting machine is running full tilt then the staff will be evaluating Freshmen like they did at USC ala Matt Barkley.

We have Fred Taylors son at camp and Lane has been here for how long? Lane is awesome

If he is that big already, no telling how big he will be by the time he is a senior. This kid will be a star.

two points:

1. Didn't his dad play for Jacksonville for last ten years? Does this kid commute from Jacksonville to Belle Glade everyday? Or his dad's lived in Belle Glade?

2. If I remember correctly, the most important 13' prospects for us are Evan and Elliott Berry.

Dad is Fred Taylor, yes. Idk about Jacksonville to Belle Glade, but i know his dad is originally from Pahokee.

Good point on the Berry twins.

It would shock the hell outta me if he ended up anywhere but Florida. One can't be certain. Especially this early. But I'm sure he grew up rooting for the Gators.

But then again, why would a Good RB go to fla? I bet he and his dad want him to be in a pro style of O, and fla doesnt give you that.

and on that i wish all of VN (especially all thoughs douche bags) a good night.

Just to clarify, his father attended Belle Glade Glades Central, the public high school. Glades Day is the private school Kelvin attends. Most expect him to switch to BGGC because he'll able to play varsity for them next year. He was at Glades Day because they allowed him to play high school varsity as an 8th grader. Pahokee and BGGC is arguably the biggest rivalry in South Florida, and they play every year in the Muck Bowl. Kelvin does not live with Fred, which explains Jacksonville vs. Belle Glade, but according to him, the two are close and even train together.

I have heard that they are going to be better then Eric Berry bc they are twins lol. Hopefully we will snag them both one for def and one for QB

They'll be skill players. Or in the secondary. I've got a buddy that has a nephew on they're junior high team. He said they are the best 13 year olds he's ever seen. They dominate almost every game.

I don't think the berry twins are 5'10" 190 though. This taylor kid looks amazing. That may be the best eighth grade highlight I've even seen. Was he playing against high schoolers though. If so even better.
