'13 FL RB AJ Turman (UGA commit)

New article on 247. Top 3 of UT, FSU, and Miami. Anyone summarize?

It just says that Tennessee, FSU, & Miami are the 3 schools sticking out the most ATP. He has already visited UF this month & since they already have 2 RB's committed then they are down on his list. He will visit FSU or Miami Saturday for one of their Spring games. He wants to visit Tennessee & LSU sometime this summer.

Turman and Kamara would be cool with me at RB.

Agree 100%, BB! If we could get those 2 to commit right now, then I would close up shop at RB in this class. Of course, I can be really greedy and say if Derrick Henry wants to join in, then come on up to the Top!

Did he say Tennessee first before the other 2? :)

Hinshaw is a beast in Orlando. This guy and Kamara may both be Vols...

Thanks for the info. Great news!

And I4Jay, would you ask around down there to see what's up here? I'm sure you've got a guy. Haha.

Man, he runs downhill. I just watched the highlight tape, and he hits the hole running. We need a good downhill back, and I would be glad to get this kid. Doesn't shy away from contact, and he seems to just see down field. He doesn't look like the most elusive guy, but heck, I'd rather have a back that will get three or four yards and smack someone in the mouth with a full head of steam, as to have a guy who dances around in the backfield any day.

OCI, is Hinshaw the lead recruiter on Kamara too? Or are you just saying that Hinshaw may help us land Turman, along with Kamara (who I believe is being recruited by CJG)?

Correction: CJG may be the lead recruiter for the coaching staff, but MZTERRY and Croom are probably the "lead recruiters" for Tennessee with AK. :)

If HG's suggestion proves true, then two lessons from this story:

1. Top running backs are attracted to teams that can run the ball, and have a commitment to running.

2. Top running backs are also attracted to playing with other top running backs, contrary to the opinion that each wants to be "THE MAN." Maybe a few exceptions but running back recruiting in the South the last few years suggests this is at least the general rule.

Who said we had kamara?

Tell me another big time back we are even in the discussion with right now. Where it looks like we have the inside track to get? Kamara is only one that I really feel we have a legit shot at getting. Dye apparently is slowly liking us more and more but even then he really likes clemson. Just want a really really good running back!

I want 2-3 really good RBs.

Top Talent is attracted to programs that win more than 5 games.

I agree, but has any program (other than Texas and maybe UGA) done less with as much talent than Free Shoes U?

I know UGA won he east but against a cake schedule.

Either way, I think our season will have a lot of elite talent taking a second look this fall. At least I hope haha.

HG when will you bring me some good news??? Lol

Best I could do for you:

"“FSU is in my top three with LSU and Tennessee pretty much,” mentioned Lane. I’m going to try and take a trip to Tennessee next weekend. If I don’t get it in then, I’ll just the weekend after it.”

Does he think he'll be good with Lane. Or is that his homeboy?
