Mathis has also received early offers from UCLA, Washington, Oregon State, Indiana and San Diego State.

He has been hearing from Tennessee, USC, Michigan, Michigan State, LSU, Miami and Hawaii as well.

"The whole coaching staff at USC evaluated my film and they love me but they are kind of short on offers, just 15 offers. I talk to their coaches all the time and I know they have a lot of interest. I also like Oregon, Tennessee, Alabama and LSU early in the process."

Just a shot in the dark here, OCI's comments in the Harris thread made me wonder...

Could we get in on Mathis a little more if USC fills up with Redfield, Ramsey, Goodman, Hatcher etc?

I know we were mentioned to be after Mathis and with the success Malik had at UT we could be a nice draw for him IMO.

Today said he's visiting Nebraska Sept 28...looking into (OV) dates for UW and TAMU.

He committed once to the Huskies but cooled when DC Nick Holt, LB Coach Mike Cox, and Safeties Coach Jeff Mills were released in Dec. Tosh Lupoi has UW back in the drivers seat, IMO.
