Who says the mob is all but gone??

125 Mobsters arrested in a huge crackdown of indictments yesterday. New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island!, and even in Italy. They were taken to a U.S. Army base to be processed. No telling how long the FBI had been working on this huge case. The Attorney General was there in NYC overseeing this bust.

They were mostly Colombos, Dino Calabro, a Captain, flipped last year, so it was just a matter of time before they brought them down. That should likely mean the end of the Colombo Crime Family for good, theres simply nobody left.

With the power given to the Government with RICO, only an idiot would want to be running anything now. Gotti's thumbing his nose at the Feds and operating day to day operations so publicly was the beginning of the end.

I think so, he's a f'ing idiot. They might be keeping him on to catch heat, as nobody wants to be the boss.

His ascention up the ranks without merit didn't sit well with the old guard imo.

I agree wholeheartedly. Maybe we could let the population vote on who gets what name. The hard one will be LIO.
