yes we wanted him and tried to recruit him. He was a ND/Michigan lock. Family ties. We really had no shot

Matt, have you heard anything about some of these guys from Michigan wanting to transfer? Any contact made with Tennessee? Or is this all rumor and speculation at this point?

But, would we want him now? That article said Memphis was a possible location. I don't see that at all. If Bars leaves, I think he is going to ND, Vandy, or UT. That is just the feeling I get.

By the staff not offering this kid & offering Jelks it goes to prove they dont care about star ratings, they judge talent by their own eyes. Same thing w/ Sealand, I thought his film looked good & deserved an offer but the staff thought different & didnt offer. They are doing their due diligence w/ recruiting.

In-state OL prospects aren't what they have been the past couple of years, IMO. We're going after Jelks, and that's who we want. We're taking probably 2-3 OL this year and being done. Plus, we can be somewhat selective on OL for once.

In retrospect, we put all our eggs in the Humphries basket, scrambled to make up ground with Jelks, and still managed to screw that up and lose a kid with season ticket holding parents.
