Thanks once again OCI you make me feel a lot better about O'Brien. So may I ask my fellow Vols this question . I have read that we will take two others besides O'Brien, who do you think they may be?

Maybe if you drink more of it, then Little Orphan Annie will stop sending you that message.

I REALLY want McCullers! I think he would be a real difference maker anchoring that middle! I think along with him, Jacobs, and O'Brien that would be a solid haul. Add in DE Autry and maybe one other DE and I would feel REALLY good about our DL class.

+1

We need some big time help and need guys ready to START in the SEC. It seems that Couch is not the answer alot of people thought. Most had him as the starter alongside Jackson when he signed. He seems to be lagging behind a bit. Maybe he can pick it up and start pushing Hood for the spot.

Could it be that he's just toying with UM and wanting an offer just so he can turn them down? You know a big up yours to them!

I think a few things are apparent at the moment.

1) It is apparent from the language being used that O'Brien has a committable offer from Michigan.

2) Even so, O'Brien has not committed.

3) The truth is that O'Brien made up his mind several months ago when he came to our camp. From that point on until now, I continue to believe that he has been a silent to Tennessee.

As I have said here before, Michigan has made up a good bit of ground recently, but their efforts have left them far short. In my opinion, O'Brien will be a Vol.

How does that benefit TN? I never have understood the logic behind the whole silent commitment argument.

I thought his commitment was scheduled either in the fall or after the season. Also wanted to take his officials. I have not heard anything to contradict this.

I have no sources but believe he is solid to UT and he is letting Michigan have their shot.

Until proven differently, everything else is just message board drama. I like what OCI and Kingston Vol are saying here.

Obrien said he was going to talk to his coach and athletic director about committing on October 6th, if not after the season.

Does he have an official or unofficial visit set up with anyone the weekend of the 8th?

I'm not sure when his official is. I know it's been mentioned somewhere in that time frame. I would want to come to one of the October home games.

Also, isn't Dooley pretty consistent in saying he doesn't like officials during the season. I wonder why he would let someone who isn't committed come for an official on a game weekend? Could that be a possible sign of silent commits for future reference?

It's more of a get in where you fit in situation on when certain kids visit. Ex: Miami commit Taylor. He will be here this weekend to visit, because it's the right time/situation.
