"I've been hearing from Florida State and Tennessee," Pender said. "I'm keeping in contact with them right now. Actually, I haven't talked to Tennessee yet. I call the Florida State coaches, though.

"My coach told me that Tennessee offered me. I really don't know yet, though. They were at my game on Friday and they told him afterward that they were offering me. I'm supposed to call them with him this week, probably either [Monday] or Tuesday."

He just picked a Vol offer. We are his first offer.

One of our coaches seen him play this week and in front of our coach, he had 11 rushes for 144 yards and 3 TDs.

FSU is on the verge of offering and he says that he wants to be a Nole.

is he at 210 lbs.? His rivals profile only has him at 185.

I have heard Dooley in the past say his prototypical runner is 5'11 215

Chris Nee of Rivals said there is a chance Pender may visit Tennessee, but he thinks he sticks w/ FSU.

People talk about our lack of defensive talent, but I think the lack of an elite running back is the most glaring weakness.

I think Poole works hard but his lack of vision really hinders his ability. We need to start calling him Charmin because he is attached to the butts of those offensive linemen regardless of where the hole is.

We got in on Lane late in the game and landed him, hopefully we'll have the same outcome with Pender:thumbsup:

should have been ranked 5* coming into the season and should get it before the year is up...plays in 6A and rushed for over 2300 yards last season...close to 1500 so far this season. Not as fast as CJ Spiller but similar skill set.

Very nice. So is FSU going to take another RB, IYO? You think it's possible for Dooley to snatch this kid up? Is he a "I want to play day 1" kind of guy?

FSU lost a RB to MDQ and have 2 SR so they need another RB now and are after Barry Sanders JR and Matt Jones....Pender is upset bc the staff told him they were only taking one RB after landing 3 last year.

If he is upset that fsu is looking at another RB then what does he think about the ones already committed (verbally) to ut?
