Guess you missed the part where CJ FLEMING traveled with the team for Memphis. AKA we needs corners about as badly as we need D-Linemen. This guy is JUCO, an EE, and a 4-star. That's about as good as it gets.

i have only heard of us offering 3: Lanier, Kenneth Spigner, and Byron Moore.

In general Recruits out of highschool are preferred over JUCO guys unless you are desperate, Auburn probably found somebody better outta HS, but that's just speculation I'd find a Barner and ask

I guess he looked good early on in the process but when they realized they had better talent still interested in them later on they decided to drop him to make space for a "better" (in their eyes) player.
