Defensive tackle
Covington, Louisiana
St. Paul's

Ht:6'1"
Wt:310 lbs
40:5 secs
Bench Max:440
Squat Max:695
Vertical:27 inches

We have officially offered him

Kansas, LSU, Ole Miss, Miss St, Tennessee, Tulane, and Tulsa have all offered

But by the time the 6-foot-1, 310-pounder put his head back on the pillow that number had swelled to seven as Kansas, LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee joined the mix.

This past season Johnson made 49 tackles and seven sacks while forcing one fumble and recovering another helping lead the Wolves to a 10-2 record and into the second round of the Class 5A State Playoffs before a 27-17 loss to Thibodaux.

Whenever Johnson does begin to narrow down his search, there will be several deciding factors involved. He stated that the community, atmosphere, how the people carry themselves, community involvement and family environment were the biggest things he was looking for in determining his future school.

chances prob go up longer he holds off on a commitment, but LA kids that LSU wants are longshot 9 out of 10 times. Pretty sure he had a teammate walk-on there last year

Tenacious defensive lineman with amazing strength. Benches 405 and squats 600 pounds. Eye-opening speed with a 5.0 at that size.

these stats are amazing! would truly love to get this kid. with those stats he has the potential to be a force equivalent to Haynesworth the last yr with the Titans on the line.

I just like this kid's name. Makes you think of a DT, with a name like that...."Hey, I'm Mickey, and I'm here to wreck you."

Beast of a kid but I wasn't digging the sound track on his highlight reel. I loved when he tracked that rb down to the sideline and shoved him down. Looks like he enjoys himself too which makes it fun to watch, on mute.

"It went well," Johnson said. "I got the chance to speak with (LSU Head Coach) Les Miles and he said he really wants me to be a Tiger. He said I fit their program really well in his opinion as quick as I am and how good my work ethic is. It was fun to see a lot of players really getting after it. They really seemed like they were working hard."
"If I was an LSU fan I would be impressed with what I saw from the scrimmage," Johnson said. "They were really getting after it and they play was extremely physical. I would expect very big things from LSU this year.

"The thought of committing today to LSU really didn't cross my mind to be honest," Johnson said. "I don't plan on making that decision until after my senior football season is concluded. All the schools that have offered me at this point are equal. No favorite at this point."

"I may make some visits during my senior football season but I would like to deal with all of this after the football season is over," Johnson said. "I will tell you this though. I like LSU a lot. The (Cox Communication Center for Student-Athletes) Academic Center is amazing and LSU is a great place to really just go and grow up and become a great football player and student. Being close to home doesn't hurt but that won't affect my decision. I just want to be comfortable."

Boy's big! I think CS could do wonders with this kid. Hopefully, he's telling him the same thing.

Most feel if USC offers that is where he will go. He is from SoCal and has only lived in LA for a short time. Apparantly still has alot of friends and family out there.

he is a Navy brat and has lived all over. His family still living in LA will still be a factor.

"Over the summer, I plan to visit Tennessee, Tulsa, Oklahoma State, Nebraska and Ole Miss. I'll try to narrow things down a bit before my senior year. Then, I'll try to make an official visit or two during the season and then the rest soon after and hopefully make a final decision a couple of weeks before Signing Day."

"I don't have a top group of schools right now but the schools recruiting me hardest are Alabama, Tennessee, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State and LSU."
