Teddy Bridgewater - Football Recruiting

http://tennessee.scout.com/a.z?s=7&p=8&c=1&nid=4109879

"I like Georgia, Ohio State, Miami, Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida State," he said. "I was actually a Florida fan growing up. But I don't have them on my list because they don't run my type of offense. I'm more of a pro style quarterback and that's the style of offense I wanna play in."

Right now, the signal caller has plans to visit a few other top schools this summer.

"I plan to camp at Tennessee, Ohio State and Florida State," Bridgewater said.

- from a June 3rd Rivals article...

Athlete
1. Teddy Bridgewater, Miami Northwestern
One of the few underclassmen at the event, Bridgewater, a 2011 prospect was extremely impressive. Despite his ability at quarterback which he showed in leading his team to the Florida 6A final, Bridgewater easily made the transition to wide receiver and was one of the better prospects there at that position. He has a confidently loose vibe about him and he has fun on the field but he also is a playmaker and could be a star in college at a number of positions, including quarterback.

This guy is a top 5 overall player for the 2011 class if not the #1 player. I figured I would go ahead and start the thread since we will be visiting it alot between now and February 2011...

He seems to have a real interest in UT and mentions them alot. He has said UGA is his leader, but his high school is a big time feeder for Miami. It will be very difficult for the Vols to pull him. He has verbal offers from Miami, Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama, Florida, and FIU...

Basically a Miami lock from everything I've heard.

If we get this guy though, we'll win a national title sometime while he's here. He's that type of player. He can play every position on the field outside of the lines and be better than 90% of people at the positions.

You can bet that Meyer will probably feed him his BS about switching to more of a pro-style offense, just like he's trying to do with Scroggins.

Looks like a definite game changer, but probably not at QB in an offense that the schools he is interested in run.

Luckily Bridgewater has a year after Timmy to see if Meyer is spouting his usual trust worthy seeds or not.

Does anyone know if he's here this week? Bridgewater said that he was camping at UT this summer in an interview. I am curious if he is going to be on campus the same time as Scroggins or not.

Bryant said yesterday that there are 7 or 8 players on campus from Miami Northwestern. GVX said Torrian Wilson was one of them, and I would put money on Bridgewater as being another...

This kid is awesome. I really liked his game vids. Bridgewater and Golson stand out for the '11 QBs. IMO

Oh man....i just had to wipe some drool off my chin. I would LOVE to see Scroggins and Bridgewater competing against each other. I'd love even more to see them playing WITH each other.

Well, it's not for sure that he will be a QB. Alot of people say that his best position is WR. I wouldn't mind to see him lined up next to Prater...

I agree he might be even better at another position but he's still a damn good looking QB. And although there's a long time to soften this, he seems like he wants to end up at QB.

I was trying to ask do we have the best shot with him compared to the other top qb's, that we know of right now?

LeMay is gonna be good I think. We need to be trying to get in with him right now. I know UF is on him, and he's been there a couple times. He knows the Leaks, think his Dad used to be the team Chaplin or something.
