Not sure of UT chances but seems like CCS and CDD are doing a good job on the trail.

He recently picked up offers from Tennessee and Michigan State to add to his current offers from USC, Miami, Florida, Florida State, Florida International, South Florida, and Louisville. He is excited about the offer from Tennessee. "I want to visit their school," he said. "It sounds like a really nice place. Their coaches have been real good to me." Jackson says his commitment to Miami is "a pretty strong verbal" but says he wants to look around to make sure he made the right decision.

Miami commit likes USC

Didn't he commit to the Canes early on before all the attention he is getting now. I know he is just enjoying the visits and playing the game now.

The fact is no matter how you want to spin it. If the kid is still going to take visits he is not a lock. These coaches would not waste money on a kid for an official visit unless they think they can sell him, especially a kid that is already commited. He is buying what they are selling now or he would not visit in the future. He might end up a Cane still in the end but NSD is 231 days away and anything can happen.

At this time, Jackson is unsure about where he will take his five official visits. He is interested in taking some out-of-state visits to schools such as Tennessee, South Carolina, Michigan State, and others.

If you don't think that the addition of Seantrel Henderson makes some of these OL commits think twice about UM you are mistaken. Anytime a school lands the number one OT recruit in the country it makes the big time prospects in the next class at least think about the depth chart a little more. Not saying it is enough to sway anyone, but just gives them something to think about.

but seantrel is a tackle..marcus is a guard

it woudl be nice to have seantrel at LT ,marcus next to him and brandon linder at center

I realize Marcus projects as a guard, but anytime you have a recruit like that who more than likely has a starting spot out of the gate at a tackle spot locked for 3-4 years then I think it makes an impact and gives recruits something to think about. Again, I don't think it affects this commitment at all, but in most cases it causes these 17-18 years old to think about it. I think UM has Marcus locked up and he wants to get a few free trips out of the recruiting process (I can't blame him or any other recruit that does this either). I assume Pat Martin will take official visits even if he commits, but I don't worry that he will change his commitment.

Just my $0.02.

Yes, exactly like that. You have to think that for some of these recruits (not all of course) that sometimes that is a factor to consider. JJ didn't have quite the hype just due to the prima donna recruitment that occurred with Seantrel, but some of these kids want to come in and be the starting LT out of the gate, and when you know a kid in the class ahead of you has it locked up for 3-4 years, it can be (and SOMETIMES is) a factor in their recruitment.

Again, not saying that is the case here, but it certainly can make certain recruits at least consider taking officials to ensure they are making the right choice. Also, UM has a much deeper OL than our from the rumblings that were thrown out during the Tyron Smith rumors, so I would think our OL would be appealing for kids seeking opportunities even with JJ. He is a lock to start from Day 1, but we don't have a single other OL on campus that we can say the same for at this point.

OL Marcus Jackson (6-3 310) of Vero Beach, FL committed to Miami earlier this year but says he will take all five official visits. "I'm going to take officials to FSU, (Florida), South Carolina, Michigan State, and probably Tennessee," said Jackson. "I've been talking to Coach (Jeep) Hunter a lot and building a relationship with him." As for his commitment, "I don't really know what to say as far as my commitment goes," he said. Jackson says he has spoken with Clemson as well but is not sure if he will visit. He plans to take those officials during his season. "I don't know the exact dates but I know I'll visit those schools during football," said Jackson.

OL Marcus Jackson (6-3 310) of Vero Beach, FL says USC, Florida, and Tennessee are the three schools he plans to visit. Jackson says he will probably take those visits following the season. Jackson has taken one official to Michigan State already and an unofficial to Miami. As for the Miami visit, Jackson said, "It went alright, I guess." Jackson says he does not have any favorites nor has he narrowed his list. "I don't get into all that," he said.

Vero Beach OL plans official to USC

Sounds like he may be uncommitted. Know anything about this cane?

Been reading from different people that things could be heating up between UT & Jackson. Suppose to be coming in for a visit.

He's a stud Dooley would make room.

Oh I'm not saying he won't... just trying to think how he would unless Richardson will either 1. Not qualify or 2. Move to DT. Also, I thought both Kerbyson and Posey were projected here as guards.
