OT
-Lot of room to develop technique
-Quick feet transfers over from playing DT
-Great lower body force and explosion and ability to drive block (had a couple Michael Oher type drive blocks)
-Uses his hands pretty well at this stage
-Has the ability and speed to execute pulls effectively, even from the OT spot
-Better run blocker at this point then pass blocker. Room to work on staying low in his blocks.
-Fierce and tenacious blocker who goes to the whistle
DT
-A true monster off the line strength and quickness wise
-Still room to develop hand technique going through senior year
-Stays with the play and does a good job to not get sealed out. Does not give up
-Enough speed to chase down and come from behind to make tackles (He has even been the first or second guy down the field on punt coverage)
-Strength is very evident in powerful bull rush abilities
-Able to get off the line with good quickness and penetrate the backfield, reeking havoc and disrupting plays
-Does a good job shedding blocks
-Has the strength and size to handle any double teams well, but have not witnessed him take them on much yet, but I am sure it will happen a lot in his senior year.
Overall, Bell is 6'5" and about 280lbs. You would not guess it at all though. He is not a barrel chested type build, but carries the weight well and does not have a huge gut or anything. If he did play OT, he definitely can take more weight on his frame. He excels naturally at DT though and OT will require more work to polish pass blocking and overall technique. With his combination of size, strength, and speed/mobility, it would be hard not to want him on your defensive line
