Cornerback Johnathan Rose decided to transfer from Auburn two week ago. He expects to have a decision midweek according to Sean Callahan of HuskerOnline.com.
Nebraska and Tennessee are reportedly the top two teams Rose favors. Nebraska may have the edge to acquire the cornerback.
"(Rose's father) added that current NU secondary coach Terry Joseph recruited his son at Tennessee coming out of high school, and that's who's handling his recruitment again for Nebraska," Callahan reported. "He said the Huskers would definitely be one of the leaders at this point."
Charles Rose added, "We looked at Nebraska's depth chart. As far as school wise, I know it's a good school. I know they just recently went to the Big Ten. Just me being a football player myself, you know the big schools like Nebraska all have the tradition and all of that. Just first-hand I talked to a couple of people that are familiar with Nebraska and they had a lot of good things to say about them."
Rose will have to sit out the 2012 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
