100% Defensive win

Some people are just miserable people. They spend their whole life looking for the negative & focusing on that, & that only. They absolutely refuse to acknowledge anything good or positive. There are several of these “fans” on this site
"When you’ve been where we’ve been, it’s about the W’s. The pretty W’s can come later."

Tim Banks gets so much hate for no reason.

Without his defense, we don’t win today.
We had a fair offensive unit after the Pruitt debacle caused a lot of players to transfer. We also got some help via the portal for the offense. Not so for the defense where we had no quality depth whatsoever, imo. With that in mind, it's amazing how far we've come in a short time. When it eventually comes time for other schools to hire top HC's I think his name will come up a lot. We are recruiting well for our defense and the players are gelling as a unit. 2 more years under Banks and we should have one of the top defenses in the country imo. Pay the man and attach a huge buyout ASAP. GBO !!!!

100% win it. I disagree. They didn’t score any points. Now they kept us in it to win it. And definitely a big improvement from last year. Just This game they didn’t tire out and lose. Team effort on both sides. Maybe not so much in special
Teams. But that’s a different thread. GBO.

For as terrible a mistake as he had, Trevon Flowers won this game. Huge INT in the end zone to keep it within 10 and huge sack on 3rd and goal in OT to seal the game.
I'm still not giving him total redemption until he takes an INT or punt back to the endzone for 6.

Might as well leave it alone dude, it's the same ole thing. Some just can't be happy unless they're showing their superiority over others on a message board.

It's not like anyone here doesn't realize we need improvement, but they obviously "have higher expectations" because they puff up their internet chests and criticize everything.

"Just win baby" is bull**** from some.
I'm not sure how taking a cheap shot at Kentucky makes me unhappy we won or critical of Tennessee, but ok.

If Tillman catches that easy TD pass instead of it bouncing off of his facemask we dont go into overtime. If we dont give up those 2 ridiculous long TD plays the game is never in question. If we dont fall asleep on special teams and give them a blocked punt and fumble a punt return the game is REALLY never in question.

We can "coulda woulda shoulda" all day but the bottom line is we won! Ugly as it was, a W is a W.
Doubt we get away with any of those mistakes in conference play. A W is a W and we'll take the ugly ones too. T A&M can't say that today. CJH needs to bear down on this team in the next 2 weeks and find some consistency in our passing game. Our run game isn't up to where we need it and I'm starting to think our OLine is getting beat a lot more than it should.

Besides Bama and UGA tell me the other two GUARANTEED losses.
TN will could also lose to Florida, LSU, and Kentucky this year. You will lose to one of them at least, probably 2, but all 3 possible. Pitt is not that great of a team and this would've been in the loss column if not for Slovis getting hurt. Injuries are part of the game though and a win is a win. What people are not taking into account is that there's not a surprise factor with the Tennessee offense this year. Everyone knows what to expect now and will be prepared for for it. Tennessee didn't win the first quarter which they are used to doing and Pittsburgh didn't have to stop the clock with fake injuries.

Dude Slovis was getting pummeled, and would have continued to have gotten drilled just like the back up did. It is what it is, he couldn’t hold up. That’s part of the game. And you could tell he wanted no part of it anymore. Tennessee blew a ton of opportunities. To say they would have won if Slovis had stayed in is quite frankly absurd. Maybe if we weren’t allowed to tackle him no more. Good grief man, 2 people can play the if game. Just quit! GBO!!!

Slovis would have had no legs if he played in the second half. Similar to the black knight from Monty Python.

The Defense has made a whole lot of progress and i believe even more progress will be made as the season goes on. I'm proud of the very hard work of the players and coaches so far this season.
