I think the Manning connection is the thing that gives us a great shot at Garrett, and with QBs dropping off the list 1 after another, I say give the kid a look, he seems to have the skills and size we are looking for. I'm hopeful he says yes, when Scroggins likely says no.

Not sure why we need to bump this thread. I don't see this kid getting an offer. At least not anytime soon. If he does, it will be several months away, which also means we would have failed at all our other attempts. JMO......

I try to stay out of that thread and I hope people will just get over the whole deal with JS. Yes, I would like the kid to be wear UT orange but it doesn't look like it's going to happen so we just need to move on.

I wonder if Bray stays committed to San Diego State since his stock is rising so quickly and he's outperforming higher rated QB's at these Elite 11 camps

I dont know alot about Bray, except that he jumped into bed pretty quick with SDSU. Would he be someone who is interested in leaving Cali to play in the SEC?

I just know that Grayson has shown UT a lot of love, and hes uncommitted. And hes been outstanding at the camps hes attended.

I still haven't given up on Scroggins, but if Scroggins does go elsewhere, I think this kid gets the next offer if we do offer another QB... I read in the Scroggins thread that is some sort of "surprise" coming when Scroggins announces somewhere else... don't know how much to believe of that story, but maybe it's this kid... who knows? Damn recruiting!!!! arrrrrghgghhh!

Bray is now in the Rivals 250 i see...

was he there before or did he just make it on this latest revision?

I still don't understand how the guy he could be SO unathletic (5.45 40, 22 inch vertical)

I think he just got in. I may be mistaken but I think he was unrated until fairly recently.

I would say there is a 0% chance Bray stays committed to SDSU. However, by him jumping on this offer so quick, it makes you think when he does de-commit, it will be to another West Coast team. It seems like he might wanna stay closer to home.

I have not heard of our coaches talking to Bray. Does someone have info regarding this? I do know our coaches are in contact with Grayson, Mason, Baty, and Newton. Grayson out performed others at his camps as well btw. Including a guy committed to Texas and one committed to UCLA. But lets wait until after 3 to start this officially.

I haven't actually heard anything about our coaches talking to Bray either. I just know he has been impressive at some camps recently, including the USC camp and the elite 11 going on now. As far as Grayson, I don't know how much interest is there either. He has been on an unofficial and said he would love an offer from the Vols.

He came on the unofficial because the coaches called him so there has to be some interest. I too have no idea how far that interest goes. They have asked Mason and Baty to make similar trips. Sounds like they are all on a list of QBs likely to be watched in the fall.

I think we should have offered Grayson. Regardless of what Scroggins did/does. The more I watch this kid, the more I like him. I realize I'm in the minority on this, however I still say in 2 years Grayson will be a he Horses hang nail of a QB. This kid is the most accurate, strongest armed QB I have seen in all the film watched this year. He already reminds me of Heath Shuler.

His arm strength is fine according to every expert that has evaluated him. Two under thrown passes that he threw about 40yards (that he threw for TDs) and everyone here thinks he has an arm strength issue.
