Good trade. I will take a kid like Channing Fugate anyday. OK, you win, if that is the way you see it. Got any more trades like that?

A mediocre player in Tennessee for the top player in Kentucky. No wonder Rich Brooks is at Kentucky.

mediocre in what sense? He has an SEC offer.....the best conference in the country...nothing mediocre about that...Its guys like you who put kids down from TN who have SEC offers none the less.....why the state can't shake its image...this isnt your granddad's version of TN high school football.....times have changed...more and more TN kids are getting offers everywhere...making it to the NFL....just because UT doesnt offer doesnt mean you cant play....

Exactly what i was thinking.. I posted on here Avery Williamson gets an offer from KY. and a couple of posts were like "our days of chasing Kentucky prospects are over". Just pathetic.

I think you need to look at the context of who he was responding to on the thread. Bottom line is he did not have a Tennessee offer so they didn't "lose" him to Kentucky. He was responding to some inbred UK fan who acted like they beat out Tennessee for a recruit, which simply is not the case since he was never offered.

Congrats Kentucky on your pickup.

At least McAdoo won't have to do much running during the Tennessee games in the next four years because the RB's in orange will have already beaten the defensive line to the outside and taken it to the house.

"I'm a soft verbal right now. I'm keeping my options open." That's how one of the top defensive linemen in the country described his commitment to an SEC program. UAB has joined the chase for the talented defender. To land him they will have to turn him and beat back competition from other schools throughout the region - but he has indicated an interest in hearing what the Blazers have to say.

Oakland High's Tim McAdoo committed to Kentucky last month - but made it clear at the time it was a soft verbal and he would consider other options. The 6-3, 320 pound defensive lineman from Murhpreesboro, Tennessee has offers from MTSU and Clemson. He is expecting one from UAB also. "They said they were going to offer," he told Blazer Sports Report.

"Right now I like what Kentucky is saying to me. But if Tennessee or LSU offered I would go there. If UAB or FSU offered I would go there." When asked if that meant go as in visit or go as in commit McAdoo replied, "visit and commit."

McAdoo plans on majoring in graphic engineering. But it will have to be an impressive situation to get him to change his mind. "I've got to like the atmosphere and the campus," he said.

He is rated a three star prospect by Rivals and ranked as the 68th best defensive tackle in the nation. "I like to beat the man in front of me. I play nasty - not dirty - but nasty, I'll get down and dirty. I'm very aggressive," he said.

Will the Blazers be able to pry McAdoo away from Kentucky? Stay tuned, Blazer Sports Report will keep you updated on this story.

if he had the grades he could go alot more places, but his 1.8 or something isn't cutting it apparently

If there is one instate kid I want right now, it would be mcadoo. I think he will be a force in a few years imo.

I'm not convinced on Williamson but we don't exactly have many options right now. McAdoo I'd love to get at this late point in the game. I think he would make a good guard.

Not sure how good McAdoo actually is, but being a soft verbal to Kentucky and only one other offer tells me he would jerk Dooley's arm completely out of joint if offered a scholarship to Tennessee. I think we should take the kid and get him in a conditioning program and see what happens.

Offering early at lesser schools like KY makes sense because it puts them in the lead.

Bigger schools can't run around making offers all over the place to players like this until they are sure they will get a commitment and are really needed.
