Any word on this kid. He has the size what about his 40. Has TN shown any interest, does he have any offers?

This kids stock will soar this season. I saw him play, & he's all over the place. Raw athlete & well coached. I'm surprised he's under the radar so much!
I believe he's gonna be a good at the next level. We need to get in now, before the offers come pouring in. Milan produces great talent, year in & year out. Patrick Willis mold type player.

Arkansas St. and Kentucky have offered.

Monte has said he wants to come watch him play this year before an offer is made and he ran 4.66 at recent Ole Miss camp.

Cleaning 315lbs and bench is 355lbs.

Rivals has Avery listed as a 3 star.

Williamson will be good. SEC good is debatable for the sheer fact that he'd be a gamble to take on at Tennessee with the amount of better talent we can probably get, but that's just my opinion. I don't know if I'd put him in the Patrick Willis type because Willis came out of nowhere in 1A football being a dynamic two-way player with little talent surrounding him. That stuff just rarely happens. I could see Williamson going to a lower-level SEC school for sure, though.

This kid has so much upside. Someone will get one heck of a good player and just as good of a kid. Work ethic is top shelf stuff.

Love the hit at 4:24.

Milan has produced alot of talent for past Vol teams, Ernest Fields, John Fisher, George Kidd and Jeff Smith. Milan has always been a well coached team. West TN has alot of talent but it is very diluted. If you are looking for players with upside you can find a few, IMHO.

Kentucky boards are saying Avery has just committed to them. Huge mistake for UT to let a kid of this caliber and character to get away.

Great kid with great work ethic. I have heard from locals he is in just about every morning working out before school (6:30ish). Kid had 22 tackles in last years championship game. I knew he was wanting to hear from Vandy and I was hoping UT would offer. Maybe as we get closer to signing day, things will change. We need some high character players to keep some of the others in line.

Not quite sure that I agree it was a mistake to not take him. He may turn out to be great at UK but he isn't high on our radar. He could be DE or LB. Would you take him over Jacques, Miller, Lemonier, Irvin, etc? Or would you take him over Luc, Jones, Taylor, etc?

This is a kid that I wanted us to take a shot at. I think he will turn into a heck of a player down the road. I think this is another example of West Tn kids being underrated because of the level of competition IE Patrick Willis & Greg King.

Our staff had plenty of chances to evaluate him. If they didn't think he was worthy enough of a scholly offer, then I'll trust that they made the right choice for the team. We won't be empty at either position.

I for sure would have taken him over Ralph Williams. This kid is cut from a different mold. He is the kind of kid you want on your team.

Depends on which have pellet guns. If we are able to get the kids you mentioned, we would be hard pressed to say that he is a better athlete than anything of them. I do think he has certain intangible that will make him a great player in the future. Smart, incredible work ethic, leader, good student, etc. I just keep thinking that if we get kids in there that want to be there, have their heads screwed on straight, and that have the upside, I think CLK's and CMK's systems will make champions out of them. Look at N Reviez. It is the kids that don't want to work that screw the whole team up.

I certainly have heard about any of those players mentioned having character issues. Heard quite the opposite on most of them.

Williams won't be part of this class either way. He's likely a Rebel.

That's good to know about those players.

Sometimes players are missed for whatever reasons..... P. Willis, Cobb, etc...... IMO, AW has more upside than any West Tn. player since Willis. Time will tell.

Yeah, Willis was passed over for another West TN player, and Brooks was supposedly a high character guy in HS. Cobb wanted to play QB and we wouldn't offer that chance.

I hope Avery does great at UK. Most years, he would be a take. This just happens to be a great year for LBs.
