Latwan Anderson delays decision, maintains top five

Highly-coveted safety Latwan Anderson (Cleveland, Ohio/Glenville) told ESPN affiliate Web site EerSports.com, "I was actually going to (commit) this Saturday. My coach wants me to take my visits and have a little fun with it. It was a certain school that I was thinking I was going to go to. My parents and my coach just want me to be sure. I haven't really said much to people."

Anderson's list of scholarship has been narrowed down to a top five of Ohio State, West Virginia, Georgia, Miami-FL and Cincinnati but also mentioned that Tennessee is also somewhat in the mix.

Nobody has started a Thread on this guy!? He's a five star on Rivals.

He transferred to Glenville this offseason so he probably does not know Edwards as well as someone who played with Mike.

In addition to the Buckeyes, Anderson said he is considering Cincinnati, North Carolina and perhaps Tennessee for his final visits. Once he finishes up his visits, Anderson said he will cut his list to two or three schools before making a final decision.

How ridiculous is this stuff. Can get in on any prospect they want. They know where to try and create pipelines, too. Byrnes, STA, Glenville, etc. In a couple years the recruiting is going to be even crazier

It helps having Mike Edwards in their ear......He is loving it at TN and is spreading the word that before he leaves he has no doubt that TN will be playing for a National Championship...love that this freshman class has high expectations that anything less than National Title is a disappointment in their career. Those kids really believe it will happen and they are telling all their friends. Mike Edwards, Nukeese, and Janzen were huge not only in that they are good players but with the big time recruits in their areas and it is showing up big time.

Im gonna point this out if we get Gio Bernard (which isnt likely) then he will go with Palardy which would mean we have two guys from STA and that could help with Joyner and then we have two commits from Byrnes which could help with Lattimore!!

I dont think Bernard is at the top of this staff's list. Probably 6 or 7 on the RB board right now.

Latwan Anderson will not announce today and is expected to take an official to USC before deciding among the Trojans, Ohio State and West Virginia.

Prior to Anderson's arrival at UM in August, Anderson told InsideTheU.com that he thought it would hurt him by coming in late, but still thought he could play this season.

“I think it will hurt a little bit, but I feel like I’m such a good athlete that if they give me a chance at least returning kicks, I can jump right in,” Anderson said. “Anything other than that, it will take a while to learn.”

If Anderson were to transfer from UM, he would not have to sit out per NCAA rules because track athletes do not adhere to the same transfer rule that requires athletes to sit out a year.
